Max Payne

You know, I'm rather excited to see how Max Payne 3 turns out. Of course the "everything is, and will always be, shit"-chorus have already dismissed it on the basis of Max not having enough hair, the game featuring daylight, or simply because it was made after 2005 and everything is terrible now because of regenerating health, casuals and Obama. Even the normally quite affable Shamus Young took one look at Max's new grandad vest and exposed hair follicles and immediately laid on the scorn. You can't blame him really, the early shots we saw of Max Payne 3 didn't look very Max Payne-like at all. This new trailer slash tech demo thingamy certainly does though. The Rio setting, the portly Max and the - god help us - multiplayer are all new, potentially destructive, introductions to the series, but I'm going to reserve judgement until I've actually played the game. I'm weird like that.
