Am I the only one who has noticed that some of the safe areas of Left 4 Dead are actually pretty good, possibly better than wherever you're supposedly going? Some of the safehouses have food and water in addition to weapons, ammunition, and medical supplies.

The finale of Death Toll is particularly noteworthy. As the boat arrives to carry you across the water to the ruined, burning city on the other side, it gives you time to reflect that where you've been seems a lot nicer than where you're going.

The only explanation is that Zoey doesn't want to be shacked up with three lonely nutjobs.
