Peter Molyneux is an interesting fellow. He's notorious for making fantastic promises of innovation and then delivering quirky, unconventional games with moving parts that don't always seem to fit together. His games often irritate me to the point of hostility, but the truth is that I'd rather see another mad scientist experiment from Molyneux than another generic carbon-copy God of War / Gears of War / World of Warcraft clone.

And unlike the typical hypemasters that are always making grandiose promises, I actually think that Peter Molyneux genuinely believes what he's saying. He's not a liar from marketing, he's an over-optimistic game designer with big dreams and an infectious enthusiasm. Those are among the best sorts of faults a person can hope for.

Having said that, I'm sure the plot of Fable 3 will make me cross-eyed with rage.

Shamus Young is the guy behind this website, this book, these three webcomics, and this program.
