Go through a divorce where your ex-wife tries to pin a rape charge on you, as well as doing everything else possible to ruin your life, then say you believe in mutual love with a straight face.

Meh, been through...one woman who dumped me straight after I'd failed my exams, one alcoholic that slept around, two who left me to join a church, two who convinced their family to hunt me down, one who strung me along for four years, two who tried to get me fired for sexual harassment, one who tried to commit suicide over me, one who dumped me over Myspace...you're not even trying. :)

Now I've finally found someone special; I'm not in love yet, but maybe.

I humbly bow before your experience... And Apologies for ever insinuating my relationships were worse than yours... I guess life will always get better, even though it CAN get worse... And besides, I love my girlfriend with all of my heart, even though I still have some issues of trust with her. I know that once these issues are taken care of (And I am sure that they will go away soon enough) that she and I are meant for one another...

Divorce related stories aside, I'm starting to lose respect for just about everyone in this thread.

And people wonder why I'm celibate...

I completely bow out of any sadness in real life because I've a tendency to get obsessed by it, but there's a couple of movies/series that get me all teary.

The dog in I Am Legend dying had me in tears (but I'm a dog lover)
The end of Edward Scissorhands where he and her have to split up so the angry mob won't kill him.
The beginning episode of the third season of That 70's Show, where an angel offers to take away all of Eric's memories of Donna and him together but after he looks back on them, decides the pain of missing it to be worth it. My girlfriend'd just broken up with me when I saw that episode years ago, and she looks a lot like Laura Prepon (yeah, I was that lucky, don't know how it happened) so it was pretty familiar to me.

But the one that had me the worst was Wesley dying in the last episode of Angel. I love Wesley so much and his moment with Fred/Illyria was so touching.

Gods I'm a pansy.

Life's no fun unless you try it all.
