if you only had a single question that you could only ask a single guard, what do you ask to find out what is the door with the gold?
you ask one guard what the other would say if you asked where the gold was then chose the one they dont say

Five, worst case scenario: you have three different colored socks and one matching pair.
Problem is, you're still in the dark, so you wouldn't know which ones matched.
A truck that weighs exactly 1 tonn drives aross a bridge that is 2 miles long. The maximum carrying capacity for the bridge is also 1 tonn. The slightest extra weight could cause the bridge to collapse.
half way across the bridge the truck stops. a bird lands on the truck.
Doesn't. The bridge is RATED at 1 ton, which usually means it can handle approximately between 2500 and 3000 pounds, according to Engineering standards... Or is this a trick question?

Does the bridge collapse? why or why not?
This is me, hurting you with my mind. (This riddle has been asked at least 3 different times).
It's been asked BETTER by other people too. You don't specify that the truck is running on a consumable/burnable fuel. You, sir, lose.
the monopoly guy: but you don't want to succeed. you have failed at failing
For the oxymoron to make sense, there need to be two conflicting values in it, "Failing" can for example also mean to "not win", because it's generally accepted that you want to win, and if your goal is to lose it's meaning stays the same. So you're trying to [not win] and you do [not win]. You completed your goal, you succeed.
Anarchemitis: I am not moving. How fast am I going?
the same speed as earth
if you try to fail, and do, have you failed or succeeded
Speed is always relative, so without the inertial frame of reference, your question is meaningless. So, like the guy with two d***s answers when his tailor asks him whether he dresses left or right: "Yes."
And you have done both, you have succeeded at failing, and failed in the process.
I hide in the light, and show myself in the darkness. All people run from me and all people want me. I bring change, yet I never do. I bring the food that you eat, and take it away from you. And one day, no matter who you are, I will find you.

Who am I?
(I'm not Batman)
I'm tempted to say the sun but I don't believe it to be true.

You're right, its not true. I'll give a hint. I mean darkness in a figurative sense.
