Hey, just be glad I didn't say pirates vs ninjas....anyways....

In my opinion cats are lower maitinence and cause less general annoyence then dogs, and yes I have owned both dogs and cats and I would rather have something that doesn't listen to me at all then something that demands attention all day. Maybe its just my passive persona but im a cat person all the way.

Other: Reptiles especially snakes! I love cats and dogs and well, every type of pet out there but, snakes are by far my favorite. Snakes are very low maintenance. They only need to be fed once every several weeks, the enclosure cleaned once every three months (if you get the right bedding) a light when needed, water and occasional misting. Plus, snakes for the most part have a docile disposition if you get them early enough and handle them regularly. My pet snake (a ball python) is very affectionate. He loves to cuddle, snuggle and likes to give neck rubs. He's also playful, I wear glasses and he likes to steel them off my face.

I'd have to say cats.
Dogs are too dull.

He's not snuggling or giving neck rubs, HE'S TRYING TO STRANGLE YOU!! Joking by the way. I know pythons aren't considered constrictors and that ball pythons curl up when threatened.

Anyways...I like cats. They generally ignore you, unless they need something. We have the same kind of attitude towards people.

Cats. My old Siamese cat kicked the ass of a pack of dogs.

Cats are awesome. I have a cat and he's so cute. He's the dumbest animal I've ever seen (aside from dogs), but he's just so cute. I love cats cause you don't have to walk them or clean up their shit. They leave you alone for the most part and when they want attention, they just quietly cuddle up with you or curl up on your lap. Cats all the way.

I have a cat as well as a snake. When I bring my snake out my cat has to give him a sniff. I love my cat very much. She's sweet one minute and psychotic the next. She will cuddle with me and then without warning, wrap her claws around my arm and rip the flesh off it then, run to her dish, stopping half way and will turn to look at as if to say "Well, you coming?" (she wont eat unless I stand there and pet her.)

Rats make great pets. They're social, cuddly, cute, awesome and kick ass. They also smell, but so do dogs. And cat food smells even worse.

Stop trying to get in Msherbatskaya's pants.... You don't stand a chance against Crap_hat.

Seriously though, I like bats and baby dragons. If I had to choose between just cats or dogs though, I couldn't decide. Cats are wonderful, but I know for a fact my cats are exceptional, and Huskies count as dogs. Beautiful animals.

Or, you know, we could go by that movie.

Cat's.

One time, I came up with a theory that cat's were undergoing evolutionary changes over a prolonged period of time, mainly based on me observing a few watch itself in the mirror. It struck as much more of probing look than an animal's normal, "DUHH" expression, and to me suggested that the spicy little feline might be having some self realization. I figured mabye that cats would be the next in the line of successors of planet earth. Then I thought I must be crazy. But crazy people dont know their crazy. So I dropped the subject altogether.

Kinda like now.

I recommend you get a male ball python. They don't get as large as the females. Females can get up to 6 feet in length while males get to about 5,1/2. You can tell a male from a female by checking the base of their tail. If they have spurs, little thorn like growths it's a boy. (just in case you didn't know how to tell a boy snake from a girl snake) and get the snake while it's still a baby and handle it often so it gets used to being handled, if you are gentle with him/her, she/he will be gentle with you. I hope you find the perfect serpentine friend.

I have two dogs, and they are wonderful. I can be having a terrible day, but I come home and they are so happy to see me, how could the bad continue? Cats ... don't generally care if you're even around. Unless they're hungry of course. Why would I take care of something that doesn't give a crap if I'm around?

Other: headcrab. Headcrab, once debeaked and properly trained, are a pet for life! Low maintenance, and they keep the possums off your roof. They also always love to meet new people.

Where the hell did you get your snake from? I have a red tailed boa that I'm assuming is becomming blind, and likes to bite me.

Dogs. My experience with cats has been nothing but annoyance. The loyalty and controllability of a dog has always made me prefer them.

No need for that, I've got a wonderful girlfriend who has five great rodents running around at her place.

First after rats are bearded dragons. It's a shame I can't bring myself to feed it live insects, otherwise I would've got one a long time ago.

I'm a vegetarian, and haven't even swatted a fly since I was 14. I've got a big life/death morality issue.

Without cats, there would be no Lolcats, one of the greatest sources of laughs on the interwebs. Plus, my cats are so damned cute.

I got him from a pet store who's owner treats all the animals very well. Pet Circus in Ottawa. He still asks how my snake's doing. And if you think your snake is going blind you should take him/her to a vet who specializes in reptile care. Unfortunately, such vets are hard to find. Also if your snake is going in to a shedding phase, their limited sight becomes even more limited and rely solely on the heat sensors.

Bah, cats are too stuck up for me. They prance around like they're so cool, and expect you to play with them . As for my dog...he's adorable, fun to pet and play with, and he wants to play with me , no questions asked, anytime anywhere.

Before I say my favorite pet I'd like to share my theory with you regarding why dogs are so popular.
if you think about it, dogs are extremely similar to human infants. they demand attention all day, knock things over, make loud noises constantly, need to be cleaned frequently and mess on everything.
So my theory is that people who like dogs who have the above mentioned attributes (which is 80% of them) are really just looking for a substitute for a baby.
The only difference between an infant and a dog is that the infant grows up and becomes relatively intelligent (in most situations.)
Lets see if you can guess which pet I prefer.
