I decided that whenever I get someone pregnant I'll let the lady name the kids. That way, I can hold it against her in an argument whenever we're fighting. I am gonna insist they take my last name though.

"What do you mean I'm manipulative and self-centered? I let you name the kids, didn't I?"

My first-born shall be named thusly: Not-As-Big-As-Medium-Sized-Jock-But-Bigger-Than-Wee-Jock-Jock, regardless of gender. I'm not entirely certain how I would convince said child's mother to go along with that, but I assume that it will involve alcohol. Next will be Chewbacca, also regardless of gender. If I have another I'll begin coming up with gender specific name.

The only time I'd ever have children is if all sources of meat planetwide ran out.

This thread is kinda going in two directions at the same time... Some of us are giving serious answers and others are posting what they'd find funny to name their kids... Kinda like miniwheats... I did the whole-wheat answers, but for the frosted side, some names I'd give my kids:

For boys...
Inigo Montoya - If you don't know why, you probably never will.
Lo-Wang - I have a Ukrainian last name... I think Lo-Wang would cause a few scratched heads.
Optimus - probably add the middle name "Prime", but could go with "Primal" instead.
Damien and Jesus (if twin boys)... DAMN it would be fun watching these brats fight while growing up.

Girls...
Bridget (to make prospective "boyfriends" wary she may be a trap)
Leeloo - Middle name "Dallas"... Might consider legal surname change to "Multipass".

Ruby or Autumn for girls, Stuart or Sebastian for boy, i really don't want twins cause i know how stressful me and my twin were on my mum but i might just be payback..

though my bf reckons he is infertile from playing rugby in high school. >.<

Stammer:
Bender Bending Rodriquez will be my third son (after William and Jack, assuming I'm still with the same girl).

In all honesty though, anything that starts with a "J" seems to make a wicked name. Justin, Jason, Jack for a guy. Jessica or Jenna for a girl. My first name starts with a "T", so it has nothing to do with that. My primary main character's name in Final Fantasy XI is "Jessie", and so too is the secondary main character in the novel I'm writing. Love those names!

my bfs family all have j names, its kinda weird; Joe, James, Jill, julia, his aunt is Judith and her husband Joe also.

If I have a daughter, she will be named either Raine, Skye, or Nietzsche. Preferably Nietzsche. Just to cause people headaches.

For boys however, either Leonidas, Kratos, Mithos, or Link. (Link mah boiii!)

Well my initials are P-R T. L. the Third. I plan on adopting a Mexican baby and naming him P-R T. L. the Eighth. So when ever anyone asks if I'm the Seventh I can say, "No, I'm only the Third. He's from the Future."

Douglas, Adam, Heironymous, Cerebus, and Torg for sons. Tomax & Xamot in case of twins.
Girls get Greek alphabet letters.
...seriously, though. Don't give your kid an "awesome" name. Give them something simple and mildly popular that they won't have to spell, or explain, or pronounce for everyone.
I know this from long experience.
(No, my name isn't Rufus; Rufus sounds better than the unwieldy Germanic name my parents picked.)

Zack for a boy, Sarah for a girl. Lovely names, I've always thought.

I'm not squeezing out any kids, but I'm pretty sure my next rat will be named Abigail or Ruby. Current rats are Sophie and Dolly.

My first two kids will be named Sam and Max.

It ddoesn't matter matter if they're boys or girls. It can be Samantha or Samuel, Maxine or Maxwell. It will automatically be shortened to Sam and Max.

If I don't have two kids, I'll kidnap some.

I want to name a girl Bellamie, but aside from that I have too many names I like to narrow it down much. At the moment I favour Darcy for a boy, though.

For a Boy:
Steve McQueen Earl Jr. III

For a girl:
Steve McQueen Earl Jr. III

I haven't worked out what I'll do after the first child or if I have twins.

The name's Scruffy

Noah. It's a boy, but I didn't get to choose the name. I didn't mind, though. If my wife is willing to give birth I told her that she could name the kid whatever she wanted. I'm putting my foot down for the next one, though.

I've actually done quite a bit of thinking about this. For the boys I'm thinking Marshall, Lamar, Benjamin, Chris, Hoyt, Robert, Lee, Lestor, Curtis, Alan, Floyd, James, Eugene, Stuart or any host of other names picked from male ancestors, rock and roll singers, the Bible or Confederate war heros. For the girls I'd pick Betty, Abigail, Francis, Derotha, Debora, Ruth, Lynn, Annelle, Catherine, Caitlin, Earcell, Mary, Anna, Mary-Anne (one of relatively few multiple names that I like), Varina, Howell or any host of other names picked from female ancestors, influential teachers, the Bible or the wive's Confederate war heros.

The mother of any of my children would have final say in what they are named (family tradition, and it seems fair), though I'd like to have a big family so maybe she'll let me pick one or two of the names.

You win the topic.

I'm partial to Doesn'tExisty, or maybe The Unborn or something like that.

So I always loved the name Alex. Alexander for a boy or Alexandria for a girl, whichever came first...

Then I had this student named Alex. Not a bad kid, just absolutely maddening... shouldn't have been the end of the world, there are lots of kids named Alex, except THIS ONE had the same last name as my fiance, the same last name I will have in 100 days (What? Who's counting?). I can no longer think of naming my child Alex without thinking of this student. Perhaps it will pass, Alex is graduating this year (IF he passes math!)...

Well, the girlfriend and I are expecting this September, but we've had a few ideas for a while.

For a boy; Elliot. I forget the others we have picked out off of the top of my head.

For a girl; Helena. We also like Haligh and Hayley. Oh, and I really like Jordan for a girl, but the girlfriend objects.

Well, my surname's Johnson for reference...

First son: Richard Stephen
Second son: Simon David

First Daughter: Freya Louise
Second Daughter: Harriet Jessica

This is all assuming their mother (whoever she turns out to be) approves of course.

Of course, we're not being serious in this thread, so for the spirit of things: Sheogorath, Aestu-Vaerotigon, Menistephilax and Kharadras.

For a girl I like Katie or Sophie. I don't really have any favourites for boys' names.

Asator, Lysander, Rodney and Ike. I'll name the first one Asator, and use a dart throw for the second/third/fourth.

Asator should be self-explanitory (I AM THOR).

Lysander because he was a freaking Spartan.

Rodney because he is my favorite character from Stargate.

And Ike, because everytime I A-Smash someone in Brawl I screenshot it because there's Ike.

If we were in weirdoland it would be "Cutbread" for a boy and "Fury Turtle" for a girl.

In normalland I think that a name like May or November would be cool.

Pearl if it's a girl. I've always loved that name.
If a boy, George, after my brother.
