And Valve is a well know company with physical world available games (i.e. games on DVD/CD) |

Some parents (like mine) are just insecure about online credit card transactions. They're scared that if some guy got access of their card, then he could go on a shopping spree... a massive spree (due to their large credit card limit). As for getting it off-line, I'd agree with wilson's suggestion (you don't mind 'wilson', right?). |

I am only 23, so it is a lot easier for me to change than some 30 or 40 year old, but my point stands, once you do it once ortwice, you will begin to understand how secure it really is... |

Alot of my friends do this, I used to ask my friend at school to get me Gmod 10 of steam, he did, but I can only get games when he wants them, and he doesn;t want them for a looooong time (he's broke). P.S. the game that I want is audiosurf:) |

Infamous Scribbler Posts: 605 Joined: 9 Oct 2007 | If I recall, Audiosurf is making it's way over to X-Box LIVE. You could pick it up there if you have a 360. |
Paperboy Posts: 24 Joined: 29 Nov 2007 | The 360 thing is still in rumor land. Nothing official has been announced... Yet... |

I did, and got a GMod out of it, but now he's saying I have to pay VAT on the order, which included 10 games of his. My parents don't care! Oh, my 360 is playing up again, and they said it will NOT be going on live! |
Muckraker Posts: 245 Joined: 26 Mar 2008 | sometimes, I forget how lucky I am to have parents who are into gaming.... It also helps that I'm 23 and live away from home. |

It seems like everything is lining up against you. Perhaps you should wait and not get the game :D |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 771 Joined: 6 Feb 2008 | Even if you buy the disc of games on Steam you still have have Steam installed & an account (least you do with The Orange Box). Though thats prob jsut for Valve games not 3rd party ones. |
BANNED Posts: 59 Joined: 18 Jan 2008 | Audiosurf is dumb....... In reality, Audiosurf has less to do with music and more to do with getting as much points as you can...... You can find other games with more entertainment value for the same price........ |

I am too young to have a card, and after playing the audiosurf demo, I was hooked. My parents don't trust buying only from another country (I'm in england), and I am desperate to get this game, 4 songs demo isn't enough, and steam is the only known place to get it. Is there another way to steam, because it also works out cheaper off steam for me.
