Good old childhood movies, the ones that you would watch 5 times a week and still love just as much as when you first watched them. Movies now are still good, but they can never be quite as good as they were when you were a kid... **veers off into wistful nostalgia**

Anyway, what were your favourite films when you were a kid? My absolute favourite was Flight of Dragons, an incredibly good fantasy tale about a man who gets sucked into a board game he's playing with a cynical shopkeeper and accidentally swaps bodies with a dragon. I had the film on tape, which has now been lost, unfortunately. Makes me sad since it's not been released on DVD and is unlikely to ever get a proper release... :(

My absolute favorite was "The Land Before Time 2". I loved dinosaurs and reptiles in general. So this was a clear winner.

Milo and Otis.
Good times with a pug who sings his own theme song, and a questionably restarded cat.

This film called Bennys Bathtub

A really psychedelic childrens movie about a kid who has an underwater world in his bathtub.

One of my first memories.

That's really weird, when I read the title of this topic I thought of Flight of the Dragons! Another was the animated Hobbit movie, which I believe was made by the same studio. Milo & Otis was another. Others are Unico, The Neverending Story, Willow. There are some that I don't remember the titles of, like this animated one with these kids and these anthropomorphic dog people from another dimension that came through this weird door and they had to sneak into this rich dude's mansion for some reason. Lol, sorry for the rambling description, I'm hoping maybe someone will know what I'm talking about.

Lot longer than a lot of you but "Escape from Witch Mountain", "T.R.O.N", "The Phantom Tollbooth".

Saying that, I didn't have access to a TV until I was 8.

I watched Samson and Sally (apparently 'Samson og Sally', those crazy Danes) an awful lot when I was little, but the last time I saw it I was 5, so I don't remember it so much as I remember renting it a bunch. I also watched The Secret of NIMH a lot, which I still say is one of the best animated films ever. And I watched The Dark Crystal a fair bit too.

I didn't have cable television until I was probably 12. So I had a VCR and some disney movies. I re-watched Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and some third party movie about wildlife endagerment (can't think of its name to save my life) and how contractors are really mean and scary people in a cartoonish way. I know that I could probably recite most of the dialouge in Aladdin from memory if I tried hard enough. :\

Ah.... Memories.

Freaked. If you have not seen Freaked, go to your nearest video rental store and look it up. Your life will not be complete until you have seen it.

True Lies! My friend and I used to watch it every time it was on Fox, usually once a month. I still love that movie

Oh yeah, Star Wars usually twice a month for the whole trilogy...

God I forgot all about the real life TMNT movies. I adored those..though it scared the hell out of me in some parts. lol >.<'

Honestly last year is when I first watched Christmas Vacation...It was alright. Just not my thing I guess.

I loved Milo and Otis as well. I keep having to re buy the damn DVD because once my friends see that I have it they want to 'barrow' it and never give it back. I'm going on my 5Th copy. >.<'

The Sandlot is still one of my favorite movies of all time (just don't mention that bastardized sequel), Was also a fan of the first Land Before Time, not to mention the whole TMNT/Star Wars thing. Plus I owned just about every animated movie known to man up until '99 or so. Also, there was a movie that my cousin owned, it was about this kid that falls into a waterfall or something and goes to a different dimension to defeat an evil guy with the help of these kangaroo type things, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called. There was also some metaphor involving a butterfly in it, but it was way over my head at the time.

Shit, just thinking about all of them makes me mad that I chose to get rid of 'em. God that was stupid.

Oh, I loved The Sandlot! Angels in the Outfield too... I am a huge Angels fan... And that movie was just so cool...

And who doesn't love "The Last Starfighter?" I didn't even see it until I was 16, but it was so tight...

Better still, Galaxy Quest is the best Kids movie ever!

Does this really count as a kids movie, though?

Star Wars was great even though I only watched it for the action. I also liked The Lion King. Very sad with catchy music.

I thought it did... It was only rated PG... But it was definitely appealing more to an adult audience as well... I don't know, but my children will watch it with me...

Wow, I forgot about Milo and Otis... That movie was cool... and what was the other one about the two dogs and the cat named Sassy where they had to find their way home across half the country... Yeah, that movie almost made me cry at the end...

Yes, I loved the "The Land Before Time" series! For me, I generally loved cartoons and stuff. Maybe that's why I love Kingdom Hearts so much...

Sonic 2 & 3, Link's Awakening, Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Pilotwings 64, Goldeneye, Streets of Rage 2, Star Fox 64, Shadows of the Empire. Hell, pick any decent game from the N64 era and I loved it so much that the state of Utah almost filed a court order against it. Props goes to Mario Party and Conker's for being the best sleepover games ever.

Homeward Bound! That was a great movie, but not as epic and awesome as Milo and Otis.

"Bound and leap, bound and leap like a gentle breeze. Yes, bound and of course, leap."

Fern Gully was a favourite at my house, but I recently watched "The Little Engine That Could" again. It's amazing how much longer 30 minutes seems when you're 4. Also, The Brave Little Toaster FTW.

Darth Mobius: It was Homeward Bound. The dogs were Shadow and Chance. Oh god, how do I know these things...

Edit: Aha, someone beat me to it. And on The Land Before Time trail of thinking, was it the 4th or the 5th where they had to get the pretty yellow flower? 'Cause I think that was my favorite.
