And when my coffin is carried outside they should play the E3 2001 Duke Nukem Forever Theme which you can find on the 3D Realms site. awesome stuff. |

If it's open-coffin, perhaps I can commission a special coffin complete with catapult to launch my corpse into the air and across the room at the very instant of the Rickrolling. |

I've agreed and also plan on, once he's been cremated, taking some of his ashes, putting them into a heart, and putting the heart into a giant teddy bear. My dad's nickname is Papa Bear. He likes the idea. The rest of his ashes are going into a giant Old Miller Light long neck that I'm going to ask the company to make and then seal for me. |

I wnat something a bit tongue in cheek and humourous but not too much as it may upset people there, it is about them really not me. Is it wrong that I've been thinking about this since I was about 9? I've changed my mind several times mind you. |

Beat Writer Posts: 181 Joined: 13 Dec 2007 | I want a montage of images from my life played to Zombie by The Cranberries. Then, maybe after my eulogy, or somewhere else, I need Let It Be by The Beatles. The last song depends on whether I decide to be cremated or buried. If I'm cremated I want If I'm buried, I want Where Dragons Rule by DragonForce played as I'm lowered into my grave. I think it would be great to have the intro playing as my coffin is lowered, it's really sad and mournful, and I want people to cry, dammit. |

Beat Writer Posts: 197 Joined: 9 Dec 2007 | probaly NOFX'S song "the dinosours will die" i would have it playing on a big speaker set with the words "sony are the shit!" written on every surface in the church. dont get the joke? go listen to that song(then go listen to some good music, like iron maiden) and you will get it. that or maybe pashendale by iron maiden, the song has some really good orcestral bits. damn i have to many ideas hear is another, as i get lowered in to my grave i will spring load my hand so that it pops out just as i disapear in to the grave and gives every one the finger, going out in style |

Anonymous Source Posts: 3 Joined: 29 Dec 2007 | "When You Go" was a very good call. Although it must be a cover? I'm certain i've heard it before. Still Alive is a great song- but faaar too unsubtle, unoriginal and cliche to have as a funeral song. I'd have to choose "Air" by The incredible String Band. Seriously look it up, my Dad says we have to play it at his funeral. So damn beautiful and solemn. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1105 Joined: 8 Apr 2008 | At some random point during my funeral, the lights in whatever building it's being held at will go off, and then the theme from X-Files will play, just to freak out the funeral goers a bit, followed by "Dance of Illusions" or an instrumental version of "The Phantom of the Opera" just to confuse them. In all seriousness, though... |

Beat Writer Posts: 192 Joined: 23 Apr 2008 | In no particular order: Queen's Princes of the Universe - Because it's about immortals, and I want to leave doubt as to if I'm actually gone or this is an elaborate ruse to keep my secret. The Rolling Stones' Sympathy for the Devil - If I don't leave the impression I'm immortal (so far, no proof I'm not) maybe I'll leave the impression I'm personally responsible for all evil worldwide for the past couple of centuries, and that's fun too. AC/DC's It's a long way to the top - Maybe I want to go for a no-hint route and just confuse the fuck out of everyone with a heavily bagpiped rock classic. Bagpipes in rock: doesn't sound like it should work, and yet somehow it does. Still Alive - Obvious, but what the hell, right? And, Weird Al's Since you've been gone - That hadn't occurred to me, but it's genius. |

It's a little too obvious. "Brothers in Arms" The Dire Straits "Your Lucky Day in Hell" The Eels "Feelin' All Right" Joe Cocker & Leon Russell "Knocking on Heaven's Door" Guns 'N Roses Then, to be more festive: "Jet Airliner" The Steve Miller Band Last, but not least: "Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangsta" by The Ghetto Boys |

So is "Still Alive", and people keep picking that. "Brothers in Arms" is a good choice melodically, but God help your funeral director if the people at your funeral know what it's about. |
