The main theme from The Great Escape. Or perhaps the version of "Comin in on a wing and a prayer" by Ry Cooder. Always really liked that song...

I'd pick Flame in the Night by Freedom Call. It still gives me chills.

Other possibilities are And the Story Ends by Blind Guardian, Carry the Blessed Home by Blind Guardian, Every Dog Has Its Day by Flogging Molly, I'm Alive by Helloween, and Sam's Town or This River Is Wild (both by the Killers).

Or, to mix things up, Famous for Nothing by Dropkick Murphys, I Don't Wanna Stop by Ozzy Osbourne, Party Hard by Andrew W.K. (I'd hate to leave everyone feeling sad), or a power metal interpretation of "Death Be Not Proud" by John Donne.

Queen - I'm Going Slightly Mad.

Purely for the ironic amusement of it. I'd also want to have 'I appear to be in a grave situation engraved on my tombstone'.

I used to think about Porcelain by Moby, but then again the lyrics would probably hurt my loved ones and family.

"I never meant to hurt you
I never meant to lie

So this is goodbye
This is goodbye

Tell the truth you never wanted me
Tell me..."

I don't want (most) of them to think I felt like they didn't want me.
I'm still looking for the perfect song.

Reading back through the previous pages, I saw a couple people mention "Paradise City" by Guns n' Roses. If I end up living the kind of life I'd like to, I think that'd be a really cool thing to play after I'm gone. So add that to the list.

I'd love to have either Come In Closer - Blue October or Everlong (acoustic) - Foo Fighters.

Both very emotional and, I feel, suiting.

awful lotta radiohead here!

if i had to do a Radiohead it would be... not videotape, that would emotionally scar people, Lucky or No surprises would be nice, Street Spirit would be a good one

I'd like Comptine d'un autre ete by Yann tiersen, that would be loverly :)

Or to be inappropriate, gay bar

Not very optimistic. Have you killed a few people or something?

"Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera(which is my life's obsession), sung by the great singer/actor Hugh Panaro, not the buff Hollywood hack from the movie(that's a little mean, I like Gerry Butler as an actor, just not as a Phantom)

I'd go for The Highwayman by Johnny Cash and possibly Highway To Hell by AC/DC as people left, just to spook them a little :P

Oh I thought of another two that I would like to have. Oldboy soundtrack - Look Who's Talking, brilliant build up and epic finish. Although it's only like 1:30mins long and my other choice would be Requiem For A Dream, again fantastic build up and an epic feeling to the whole song. Just like my life :P
