Sean Bean!
It was a Clive Owen circlejerk. I think it was his mental recovery from Children of Men; which was overly serious, despite being one of my favourite movies of all time. It made sense that after such an epic tale of struggle and hardship he should do something more fun but equally gutsy. Anyway!
It was really good. John Tucker Must Die let the studio down, but I think because it was needlessly sexy and - sigh - 'scandalous' in parts.
It had absolutely atrocious acting and some of the weirdest dialogue I've ever seen: "PADME I FINK U MITE DYE AFTA A TEN-SECOND DREAM SEQUENCE!" Although the little confrontation at the end before Anakin and Ben have a little tussle did save the film, in all honesty. It was a really good piece of drama! I still think that Ewan McGregor really carried the whole first trilogy. |

Musicals are cool. South Park and Avenue Q especially; but I'm a huge Phantom fan. And Demolition Man is cool as hell. Sandra Bullock is cute personified. |

No, Haggard is the Bam Margera movie. It's pretty funny if you like CKY. |

Interesting, I'm of the opinion he butchered it. |

I have always wanted to see Avenue Q but could never find a decent vid of it. The evil dead musical is hilarious tho the funniest bit is I saw on some site that in 2009 they are going to make a movie version of it, so thats a movie of a musical based off a movie... Demo man is just soo fun and mindless I can watch it over and over and still not get bored tho I would give alot just to find out one thing. How the hell those damn seashells work. >< Oh and The Notebook. Went into that movie expecting to mock it for being utter crap but it brought tears to my eyes so I guess it wins. |

Finally! I hated it. Hated. If I wanted to watch stuff move around in slow motion in space, I'd... well I just wouldn't. Gah! Why does everybody like it? I like pretentious arty films, and I didn't like this. As to movies I like, but don't want to say: Pride & Prejudice. The newest one. It's really pretty... And perhaps Grandma's Boy, but I only neglect to tell some people. |

I LOVE Grandma's Boy! I can understand not admitting to it though, there is sort of a stigma attached to it, not sure why. And also Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny! A lot of people call them metal poseurs, but I think they're great. |

They're not metal poseurs, they're folkalicious mock rockers! I didn't think liking Tenacious D was anything to be ashamed of though... maybe at work because of all the swearing but still. |

He has a really strange method of acting, I think. People either tend to love it or hate it; like a serious sort of Seagal figure. |

Hairspray is the same. Also, Footloose, as you may know was made into a musical, and (I think) is in the works to be remade as a movie-musical. |

Paperboy Posts: 38 Joined: 7 Jan 2008 | Augh, I'm sorry. I can't care if there's good acting or anything in it. The Island is agonizingly plagiarized. It's horrifying obvious if you've ever seen the old movie. I can't give them credit for stealing someone else's idea, remaking it, and hoping that nobody had seen the old one. Just get the rights and give them the credit and put up your little disclaimer! It's not that difficult, really! Go ahead, look for it. Granted, I saw it on MST3K, but still. It's CLONUS: The Parts Horror. |

I didn't even want to see flags of our fathers in the first place , but both films really got to me, especially Letters from Iwo Jima. I spent nearly the entire film scrounging up every ounce of manliness i had in me containing the tears and trying not break out crying in the middle of the theater. |

It was quite bad. Now Muppet Treasure Island on the other hand... |

I have found my TRUE BROTHER! [embrace] Oh, another movie I really liked but no one else did: The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, Across the Eight Dimension. It's got Peter Weller, Christopher Lloyd, the bad guy from Highlander 1, Jeff Goldblum AND John Lithgow, who delivers the best line in cinematic history: "LAUGH WHILE YOU CAN, MONKEY-BOY!" |

Nah, Lucas butchered them and set back into the original to butcher them as well. |

I 'get' the book, but the film was a insult to it because it didn't.
This was the thing, despite my national dislike of the French; Reno is a god in all films he touches. |
Press Junketeer Posts: 411 Joined: 9 May 2008 | I don't think I've ever told anyone this but I liked the Popeye movie/musical with Robin Williams in it. He's really funny in it. Normally, I hate musicals with a passion, but I liked that one. While I was disapointed in the poor acting in the Star Wars prequels, I did like the lightsaber fights and spaceship fights. Those are really the best parts of all the Star Wars movies though. Liam Neeson, Christopher Lee and Samuel Jackson can act. I've seen them do it in other movies. It's a shame Lucas didn't let them in these movies. They probably got so sick of doing the same scenes over and over so the special effects guys could get all the measurements, readings, blocking etc right for their computer graphics that they said "screw it" and just spat their lines out woodenly. The CG characters like Watto and Yoda had more personality than the humans showed. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 111 Joined: 30 Mar 2008 | I liked Transformers. I read it often in this thread, didnīt know it was hated. Well maybe by fans of the old comics, i wasnīt into them, same as Spiderman, X-Men and all the other comics. Also, Van Helsing. |

I heard it was good... Hell, I liked all three X-Men movies... Most die hard comic fans said they were shit, and I liked the Spiderman Movies, too...
