Well, if you want to go down the Orwellian route, 1984 is about a man trapped in an oppressive regime where he and the rest of the general populace are monitored for any signs of disobedience. But you probably know that already. That's the most vaguely similar book I can think of anyway. Much, much, much darker though. |

Just a piece of advice, NEVER get involved in philosophy! Just reading this thread got me back to when i was a teenager, who filled his mind with philosophy to escape my oh so horrible life. I once suffered from insomnia because of philosophy. Just thinking about the concept of death makes me cringe :(- |
