Nice and simply what is a "Troll" or "Trolling"?

Troll and the verb trolling is used to describe someone who posts controversial (Halo is teh best gaem evaR!!) or plain offensive things to get a reaction from the community. A troll does this to obtain "lulz".

The habitat of the troll is any internet thoroughfare that allows him to "air his views" as this creature's standard method of reproduction is known scientifically. For it is in the "airing" of his views that this creature's reproductive seeds are spread, and other potential trolls are fertilised, nourished and grown. My brother is a troll(er) in Alaska.

I find it fun to encounter Trolls so I can annoy Them with Escapist-type logic.

Ahaha, I don't do that in Forums, but in online games. And I pester them, nagging them with logical answers and responses and follow them around other servers.
