My fellow Escapist members I have an English assignment to write a book review and post it on a website and I thought mite as well be here.

So without further ado the book I read was "The Long Walk" by Slavomir Rawicz a non fiction book about an amazing journey that would take our heroes through Siberia the Gobi desert over the Himalayas and into the nest of the yeti (or at least he says it was a yeti) and finally into India. Slavomir Rawicz was part of the polish cavalry when he was captured by the Russians and sent to a slave labor camp in Siberia. The protagonist eventually escapes with six other companions and head south towards India. Later on they pick up a girl, Kristina who is also trying to get away from Russian tyranny.

The book itself is excellent you're constantly thinking about what's next. It has you on edge for most of the story. And when you're not the company is providing comedy relief. It has one of the very few moments that has made me want to cry. The book is'nt very long only a few hundred pages and I highly recommend it.

So go ahead and post your own book reviews too.

That was...brief.
Still, an interesting idea! ^^ Just started finished reading Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman, might try my hand at some typing later.

Well since I have no literary credentials I'll cut right to the chase.
Ringworld: I liked it, and you should too.

Book reviews have been done here before, but they belong in the reviews section.
