I mean someone who delves into the text that's filed, makes corrections, and notes, and makes sure that, when the piece runs, it's better than when it was written. That's a good editor. Hey folks,
Just wanted to let you guys know that today is my last day with the magazine. It sucks to leave, but it's time for me to move on.
The site's changed quite a bit since its inception, and I'm extremely proud of the way it's grown into a destination for people who love reading, talking about and playing games. I'll remain a loyal fan of the mag.
I've already begun the process of cleaning out my desk and stealing office supplies, but I couldn't properly do this without saying thanks and goodbye to you, the people who've paid my salary for the past three years. Wrangling our little corner of the internet has been one of the many highlights to my days during my time here, and I'm going to miss all of you quite a bit, even those of you I've berated publicly or in PMs.
The banhammer will customarily be notched to denote my passing and then handed down. Taking over for me in the lead mod/community guy role is Jordan "Ice-Nine" Deam. We call him the Bear Trap, so you'll be in able hands. Wilsonscrazybed is also remaining on board, so not much should change in terms of policy or quirkiness. I'll likely be around, but just as a fan. I tend to be a lurker by nature, so I may not be as vociferous as you're accustomed to me being.
So, thank you all very much. I'm looking forward to the future, both my own and The Escapist's, and I hope you do the same.
