West Coast For LIFE! I consider my hometown to be Los Angeles(Born in Minnesota, raised in 10 different states from Maine to Texas to California and many points in between, but spent a majority of my life in Los Angeles. When I was 20, it was right about 50%...). My Step-father was in the Coast Guard, and I later joined myself...

Hey Joe:
I'm serious. We pick a date and all the Aus members of the Escapist forums meet up for gaming discussion and general shennanigans.

... That would be cool. But, I mean, we have you in Perth, Purple and Cooper in Brisbane, and several others, like Markness, Dingo and myself in Sydney (and you have Fire and jim in Wollongong), making it really hard for all of us to get to a set location.

Oh, and I'm a weedy 15 year-old, who's got a somewhat dark skin colour and a mop of a head... yeh, you're not really missing out on much by meeting me.

Edit: Yay, Gonzo!

You a real man now. The Escapist meeting up sounds like a good idea but where we will we meet, and when and why?

Australia is a pretty big place. With Jetstar, we might be able to get to a place for a day relatively cheap (I think they said $79 return airfare in some ads), but even then how would we decide where?

Leaving that aside, what would we do on said day?

Edit: I just had this great mental image of people holding up a row of signs in the arrivals. "Robertson" "Fukyaska" "Mcgraith" "Purplerain" "Stompy" "Fire Daemon". Sounds like something the Chaser would do.

Maybe they could sponsor us, just to film that scene.

Hey Joe's sentiments about an Aussie meet-up should be applied for us British, too.

Haha, Chaser sponsored group meeting. That would be random, though, signs like that. Especially if we included our Avatars on the signs :D

@OP: I'm in Perth, Australia.

Mass Australia LAN sounds good. If it's somewhere in NSW I could come (to pov for plane ticket).

And this body's ethnicity is Caucasian, but too tan, I like myself to actually be the color white.

All of us non-legshaving europeans could have a meet.

Hey Joe:
I'm serious. We pick a date and all the Aus members of the Escapist forums meet up for gaming discussion and general shennanigans. I for one would like to see if PurpleRain is actually purple, and I'm sure you're all curious as to if I actually look like my avatar or not.

I'm sure you are. You better be....bitches.

A pan-Australian LAN would be practically impossible but I don't see any problem with some sort of online shindig. Pick a game and we should be able to get it, or we could have a chat server of some sort.
Seeing as I'm also Perth, Aus, I've been tempted to track you down and show you my favourite hunting knife before I shove it deep into your...I mean meet you. I'm also serious. It'll be a bit weird and might not amount to much but it should be worth it just to prove that the internet isn't just a figment of my imagination.

Since this is a recent thread, I suspect the demographics are going to change with the time zones.

Canadian, currently living in New Brunswick with a hope to move west eventually. I think you caught all the Aussies because of the time zones.

EDIT; Nuggo, you beat me to it...
