A little harsh there isn't it. No need for the insults the entire second sentence was unnecessary. But yeah you do seen nerdish. |
Infamous Scribbler Posts: 648 Joined: 16 Apr 2008 | There's no shame in being a nerd. I walk around openly admitting my nerdiness. Really, there are only two kinds of people in this world: 1. People who socialize by going to parties and drinking until they puke up a lung. The former is a "jock" and the latter is a "nerd". These descriptions are really general, though. Really, though, I've never met a person who went to the bar and chatted on MSN equally as much, so it's hard to say that there's much in-between space between nerd and non-nerd. You? I put you're a nerd because you're not only on a forum with tons of other nerds, but your cons greatly outweigh your pros. Again, it's nothing to be ashamed of. |

Infamous Scribbler Posts: 648 Joined: 16 Apr 2008 | Actually, I'm also fairly sure that horse-guys, actors, and artists fit more under the nerdy category too. Not really "pros" are they? More additions to the "cons" lol |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 854 Joined: 29 Nov 2007 | Anyone who introduces themselves as an actor is actually relegated to a status lower than nerd in my book *edit* I'm friends with plenty of actors, I just find it as vacuous a way of identifying yourself as saying you're a model or a writer. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2262 Joined: 14 Jun 2008 | If you're asking a bunch of nerds on a gaming website rather or not you're a nerd, of cource we're going to say yes. The fact you have a profile here is proof enough. |
Paperboy Posts: 16 Joined: 16 Jun 2008 | I think the term "nerd" is thrown around too much these days. Hell, I go to parties and drink till i puke up lungs, am a fighter (i.e. i train and compete), and also use the computer a LOT. That doesnt classify a nerd, even if I've been called that (I don't mind though) To answer your question: You're somewhat nerdy, but then again you have other interests. You're no stereotype. |
Muckraker Posts: 270 Joined: 14 May 2008 | i Believe that Nerd means somebody who is not interested in thw oposite sex, and would prefere to work hard at school. There is no problem with being a nerd, unless your a D*** then it is unaceptable. |

Beat Writer Posts: 153 Joined: 1 Nov 2007 | Yes, you are a nerd. Then again, everyone on this forum is a nerd. Why? Because its a forum. A forum about games more over. We're all geeks here. Its nothing to be ashamed of I say. Not all geeks/nerds are social regecks who spend all there time on the internet *cough* |
Infamous Scribbler Posts: 519 Joined: 8 May 2008 | Wow, my self esteem detection device is in the minus digits, I've never known someone with such low self esteem that they would need "acceptance" from a forum. I'm not sure whether I should feel proud to know you or feel pity for you, I think I'll go with.....indifference, seems to work for most things. |

A friend of mine was one of the biggest football stars at my high school and he played World of Warcrap religiously. I suppose he's also one of those middle ground people. If you're one of the middle ground kind of guys, it mostly depends on the type of people you prefer to hang out with. He liked hanging with his football buddies over playing Puke of Pukecrap, so he'd probably be more of a non-nerd in my eyes. Then again, it's a really bad idea to simply judge people. Me, I have classifications, but I never judge people right away. Being a nerd isn't a bad thing. Someone calling someone else a nerd would be like calling them Ukranian or Chinese. It's just who you are. |

Copy Clerk Posts: 118 Joined: 28 May 2008 | Yeah, geek not nerd, but in the end, who cares? It's just a label, you are you. And if anyone's gonna label you as a geek or nerd or whatever (this includes you labeling yourself), then what's wrong with it? Nothing wrong with nerds and geeks, so you shouldn't bracket being a nerd as a con and not being a nerd as a pro. |

Joe Lauzon? hehe i don't think it's that bad to be a nerd anymore, the term nerd isn't as bad as it used to be. i know a few fighers and other people you wouldn't consider to be nerds/geeks but really they are Ben Affleck - huge gamer that's all i can think of off the top of my head |
Paperboy Posts: 42 Joined: 24 Jun 2008 | This post hurts my soul so much that I may actually cry. The truly undefinable number of levels on which this degrades not just my soul, not just the souls of all of you, but indeed the souls of all mankind, is truly heartbreaking. We actually have a person who is coming onto an internet message board and making list of his own descriptors in order for people he does not know to classify him broadly. How I am the only one fearing for the internal workings of his keyboard due to the sudden influx of water caused by my hysterical sobbing is beyond me. Has society really come to a point where people are so desperate to be classified and named such that they need not actually examine their own personality, much less show it to others, that they are willing to make a post with the specific intent of becoming pigeonholed? |

Yeah, I have to agree with you there. It seems a bit odd to ask strangers what you are. It seems almost impossible to classify anyone as wholly anything nowadays. Just look at your lifestyle and classify it however you want. It'll be much more accurate than what we say, unless of course you've already made up your mind and want a second opinion. |

Yep, He said it exactly right. Why did you have to make up your own Forum Battle RP, when there was already one there? Oh yes, because you wanted to exclude everyone who has a different idea than yourself. Why did you call it Fantasy, even though WE have Jedi and Swordsman and Gunfighters? Becuase you wanted a battle "locked in middle ages England, as inevitably as the fucking TIDES!" to quote Yahtzee... Yes, you are a troll. I would behead you, but you won't fight me like the troll you are... |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1409 Joined: 14 Sep 2007 | Nerd? You say it as if to imply an illness. Indeed, you are a nerd, but nerdiness is a higher state of being. Or so my D&D club tells me. |

Do you really need people on the internet to tell you who you are? Isn't that kind of undermining you a bit here? |
