Stumbled across one of their songs a few months back when a mate of mine stuck it on over my car stereo, "Hello Hello" the title or something.
Loving it.
Recommend any tracks?

Perhaps this is not the best way to track down songs.

The Cat Empire is a good scar band. I was introduced to'em by a friend, and I liked the music. If you want more songs, may I suggest going to their wiki page and finding some singles to buy/download?

Been forced to listen to them in a car by the driver, can't say I care for them. Not my blend of Darjeeling.

I guess I recognize them as not being crap, but I don't like them on the basis that they are, like all non-metal bands, boring.

But yeah, Hello, Hello is catchy.

Ahh the Cat Empire. I enjoy their stuff when I hear it on the radio, but I've never been persuaded to buy any of their stuff or even download any. Similar to the Foo Fighters, love hearing their stuff on the radio, but not enough to get any of their stuff.

I have only heard of them when I clicked on this thread out of curiosity. To be honest, I half-thought it was the empire ruled by CATS from Zero Wing (better known as All Your Base).

Yeah, I know them - I heard their stuff when they added me as a friend on myspace, & now I own all their CDs. Absolutely love 'em! My own personal recommendations:

From CD 1, "The Cat Empire":

1 - How To Explain
2 - Days Like These
5 - Hello
7 - The Rhythm
9 - Nothing
12 - Manifesto
13 - All That Talking

From CD 2, "Cat Empire: Two Shoes":

1 - Sly
2 - In My Pocket
3 - Lullaby
4 - The Car Song
5 - Two Shoes
7 - Sol Y Sombra
10 - Saltwater

From CD 3, "Cities: The Cat Empire Project":

3 - Siente
4 - Motion
10 - Side To Side

Hope that helps!

The Wine Song is pretty cool. Cat Empire are good if you wanna relax. But I'd rather listen to Cannibal Corpse to relax.

I love the Cat Empire. The latin jazz spin on ska is fantastic. I also get to support a local melbourne band:)

Listen to the first album "the cat empire" it is by far the best.

You may be interested in Blue King Brown they are kind of similar. They supported The Cat empire this year on their Aussie tour. They have a bit more of a reggae island feel and a female singer.
