Also, it can go into space so I can avoid any repercussions of destroying most of the sea. It would be the size of a small country and I would call it the HMS Shhhhh... |

She'd have that used, slightly dilapidated look to her, as was used to such great effect on Firefly. I've considered a few names for this vessel: "Dauntless" "Prometheus" "Gaijin" "Serenity" "Dark Day" And finally, "Searider Falcon". Brownie points for getting the reference of the last two names. |

Paperboy Posts: 44 Joined: 9 Jul 2008 | Something like the Delphinus from Skies of Arcadia, but maybe a bit smaller. But the name? I don't know, "The Giant Enemy Crab"? All the good names are taken, but I think I'll go with "The Harmonica". |

These would be crafted by the crafty space gnomes of Tobaccoplantation 9, where the gnomes are forced into labor, but were liberated by some dudes named Larry. |

Muckraker Posts: 301 Joined: 4 Dec 2007 | Fatalis It's a ship owned by an organization who is not part of any nation's government. It orbits the earth, performing jobs for whoever pays the most. Capable of reconnaissance, and keeps a large supply of various missiles, manufactured either in the ship or by the current employers. Very few people on the ship (like, two) are allowed access to the media from earth, and those same people are the only ones allowed to communicate with those on earth. This is done to minimize the chance of rebellion. The crew is made up of people who have been tested to make sure that they will not question their actions. The crew is split as equally as possible between men and women, and relationships are encouraged, as people who like each other work well together. Everything involving relationships is allowed, also, divorces are gone through easily and people suffering from temporary emotional issues will be allowed not to work; one of the back ups (who's training consists of a simulation of everything the main worker has done) ca take over. Children are born on the ship, and are raised with jobs on the ship specifically in mind. The top people's (allowed access to media/communication) children are raised with top positions in mind. There is an abundance of food and drink, but alcohol and other substances affecting motor skills are strictly forbidden. Everyone is kept happy and ignorant, and only those in top-shape are allowed to perform real jobs. The system promotes hard work by rewarding outstanding successes with whatever that person likes, be it food, women, etc. to promote healthy competition and keep people working as well as possible. Yeah. That's my ship, and it is pwn. |

"The HMS Alec Reeves" operated by playing an oboe at a certain pitch.
Now the interesting part, it would have to be navigated by having someone track the captains movement on a map (3d or 2d, no 4d as it would be trippy)his brain waves would be measured via a helmet using MRI and PET scans.
These would be sent to the captain who would also wear a helmet however his would amplify the recorded measurements to match his neurological activity, provided that the map reader isn't distracted by nearby butterfly's all should go well.

(I'm pretty sure someone else came up with a similar/more-or-less-the-same theory of navigation but i never got his name so .... i take full credit)
