I can recall peoples faces from memory even if I've only seen them for a second, this especially becomes a problem on Myspace/Facebook because when I see someone out who I know from those sites I will go up to them and say that I know them, bad move, I'm surprised I haven't been maced yet lol

I can't dance. Like, at all. I've got absolutely zero rhythm.

I also noticed with some friends, my brothers and especially me ex-gf some years ago, how people can completely fail at diplomacy. For example, if you are trying to convince your parents to allow you something, I understand that it is generally a bad idea to insult them and yell at them only one minute into the conversation. They did not.

But my point of view has drawbacks. As I am effectively unable to be angry or even raise my voice in a discussion, I sometimes fail to assert my claims.

i still don't understand how some people have difficulty connecting anything to their TV. i mean how do they think this stuff works? what model in their head is preventing them from grasping the concept of input versus output?

Drawing when you have some kind of model. I can't understand why is it so difficult for people to just draw exactly what they see.
It's different without a model because you can't get an accurate look of the thing you are drawing.

I can't get my hand to do exactly what I see no matter how hard I try. I believe if I got more practice I would be really good because my dad and Uncle are fantastic artists. My uncle considerably more than my dad but you get what I mean.

Just like Lord Krunk, I am very good at spelling. I was back up to go to the state spelling bee. I am also pretty good at reading music. In fact, I'm pretty much the opposite of most musicians in that I can't play by ear. I hear the note and I can't tell which one it is. I know when a note sounds wrong but my ears can't tell the difference between notes on the same string.

I get the same feeling while try to show someone how to play a game. I sit there and wonder," How do you not get it, its so easy!"

Oh, and just for the record, the longest word in the english language in pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis and yes, I know that from memory.

But what does it mean? :-)

Its a lung disease. As for the chemical compound posted a little later (triton I think) It may be longer but it's not in any dictionary, I gaurantee it. There are longer words than pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis but none that appear in any major dictionary.

Yeah. Just take a look at the label on what half of America is eating.

not really a skill. but I have an overly flexible right leg and I tend to absent mindedly bring my foot up to about my chest (I can put both behind my head but that's aside from the point) and I sleep with it sort of resting against my abdomen. I thought this was perfectly natural but apparently it isen't and I've been getting a lot of "how the hell are you doing that's" over the last few months but I always thought it was normal.

I can't get my head around the tones in Chinese.

See, Chinese only has about 12/13 different syllables for their entire language, but there are 4 tones for each syllable to distinguish between words. Different word combos, different meanings, etc.

Thing is, I've been learning Chinese for four years and I STILL cannot hear tones accurately. Nor can I pronounce them.

It's really irritating.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think antidisestablishmentarianism means (in it's most basic terms) sticking it to the man. I had to do an essay once and that came up.

If my rather fuzzy memory serves me correctly, antidisestablishmentarianism is the argument against the separation of Church and State.

Now, back on to the topic...

I've always wondered why people couldn't seem to spell correctly. I mean, the words always came naturally to me, why not to others?

Wrong again.

That soooooo does not count. I don't care what all the lab-coat wearing sorts say.

It is more a general thing for me. I am smarter than a lot of people I know, I don't come from a huge community so sometimes I get flummoxed when I do meet people who follow what my thought process. What I'm used to is people not following things that make perfect sense to me, and having to break them down into more rudimentary steps of logic.

Probably why I am so awful in job interviews.

Here's a few:

Using your turn signal while driving.
Being able to decide on what you want to order before you get to the counter at a restaurant.
Reading a book.
Realizing that when something goes wrong, there is a chance that it IS my fault.

Here's something I hardly ever see outside the Escapist. People who don't rape the English language. Many of my conversations on YouTube comments include "Retard:lol, u r suk at gaim. Me:Dude, I played IWTBTG, it's incredibly hard. Retard:lol u sayd hard lololrofl". I also can't understand why people can't play inverted in FPSes.

Anyway, as one of my friends stated recently, "[Cyclomega] knows all, and when he doesn't, he invents". I'm usually the guy you ask for obscure cultural references, subculture cesspool extracts and genuine questions that made your day, and when I don't know, I point out to the usual suspects (dictionary, wikipedo, the interwebs, or a profesionnal I happen to know).[/quote]

I do that with everyone i know, but maybe that's due to the fact I hang out with idiots 24/7.

As for skills, I have the same one with telling everyone how to spell and what words mean

I also seem to be only person on earth who can manage their money. Everywhere I go there's a mate saying he owes someone money or he needs more cash, but this rarely ever happens to me.

Antidisestablishmentarianism is the longest word in Oxford English Dicitionary. A quick wiki search reveals that the Guinness Book of World Records has Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis (some kind of lung disease) as the longest word in the English language.

Antidisestablishmentarianism is indeed spefic to a political postion in 19th century Britian, but if you break the word down you can understand what it means:
Anti - dis (agianst agianst, a double negative) - establishment - arianism
So basicly means people who are agianst people who are agianst the establisment. In context that is people who were agianst the removal of The Church of England as the state church in England in the 19th Century, it can also apply to Scotland, Wales and Ireland too.

Anyway, with your History lesson over, back on topic:

I really don't understand people who can seem to use proper grammer in text messages, and why they can't just use predecitive text?

I also don't understand, why, no matter how many times I tell them, my perants can't seem to do certian things on a computer.

Using search engines on the internet... I do have a computer science degree (something which seems that for most people means i know every little detail about how windows works... I learned how to friggin design and code programs, not Microsoft Word 101!!!!! AAAAAARGH /endrant), but instead of asking me why something doesn't work or where to download this or that etc etc, why don't people just google it?

Simple math problems... I love math and always had a knack for it, and I can't for the life of me understand how some people can't solve simple problems.

Spelling is also something that just comes to me but many people just can't get. I mean...it's like I write the word down and if it's spelled wrong it actually bothers me, and I can see the mistake. You know what I mean...

On the other hand... I absolutely suck at drawing either by imagination or copying. My fingers can only be used for basic functions(to explain, i can't for example do the Spock salute thingy or other weird gestures). And I suck suck SUCK when it comes to playing RTSs against friends, although I'm above average to very good when it comes to other genres.

(i.e. conforming with what's good)

It uses a self negating double prefix. Anti and dis cancel each other, leaving you with merely establishmentarianism. You could chop off the rian and ism as well because they aren't necessary for understanding the root words meaning.

Any way: I can make origami cranes, flapping birds and balls. It only took me about an hours practice but when i try to teach someone else, going step by step they just end up with a scrunch. I can't be teaching it wrong because i'm just doing it how i learnt; step by step demonstration.

I can't wrap my head around the concept that my parents and brother have no clue how to notice malware, viruses, etc.. on their computers. Take for example recently my parents could not get on to the internet because of a piece of malware calling itself something along the lines of antivirus 2009 cleverly disguised with the logo for the windows firewall. My dad asks me why he can't get on the internet I look at it for ONE second and KNOW for a FACT that it's malware, a virus, or other type of malicious program.

I tell him to call someone to fix it for him, because I have no patience left for my family. They are so computer illiterate that it makes me furious to TRY and help them. Of course he asks my brother. So my brother looks at it and the first thing he tells my dad is to throw his credit card at it. I TOLD my dad and my brother that it was malicious programming and even though I spend the MAJORITY of my day on computers my brother still didn't believe me.

So, so dumb. It hurts that people don't have common sense as well. About 2 weeks ago now I hit by a car, and since then in the past week I've almost been hit by different cars each day except today. The closest call was I was crossing at the corner when I had a walk signal, and a Semi truck BLEW through the red light with me literally being to the point that if I had reached out I would have touched the side of the truck. Yesterday I was about to be crossing in yet another cross walk and some old lady saw me so she sped up to try and beat me through the sidewalk. Here's the kicker: she rear ended the guy in front of her.

Mainly for myself I just don't get dancing. I can't do it. I can stand on a dance floor at a club and be a grind pole but that's about it (which works out quite nicely).

But all in all:

I can't stand dumb people, they infuriate me.

Even after I've associated a face with a name I NEVER use the name. To the point where I've had freinds I've had for months just assume I didn't know their name.

I don't know why but I really dislike using people's names. I'll walk across the room and tap a person's shoulder before I'll call to get their attention. Just something weird about me.

Back on subject, I can't understand why people have trouble with strategy. Both strategy games and real life strategy (like avoiding meeting people at parties or getting out of school undetected). Stuff like that comes naturally to me but there are people who just can't figure out what they're supposed to do next.

Oh, and I'm an excellent liar. But I kind of understand why some people are bad at lying so ... I'm not sure if that counts.

There's a reason I'm known as Jacob Malone in some circles; it's because I like to lie about my name because it makes me feel more importiant than I really am.

All terrible jokes aside, though, I seem to have more common sense in my little finger than most people have in their bodies. I fail to understand how some people just don't use their heads. I have a hard time understanding why people go out of their way to make each other miserable sometimes; we're all in this together, so why can't we at least try to get along?

This may because I have Aspergers syndrome; it may be because I'm smarter than most people you'll meet over the course of your life.

That being said, I do have a terrible sense of humor, and I apologize profusely for it.

I have the skill of reading and comprehending books fairly easily and quickly without trying, I am awed by people who can't read without struggling.
But as for writing, notes, essays, fiction, journals, anything I'm not pouring myself into, I can't write for squat. This makes high school english frustrating since I know the stuff, can answer verbal and choice questions easily, but cannot finish a paper without last-minute panic.

See, I can read, write, and speak pretty well, enough so that it baffles other people. My spelling may not be top-notch, but I can get a point across and make you belive it.

Which is odd, becasue that's supposed to be difficult for me. Oh well.

Apologies abound.

I have a terrible short-term memory, to the degree I have trouble remembering names and faces even though I've seen them dozens of times. For instance after my English teacher finished telling us that he would be out the rest of that day, and the sub's name would be Mr.Croaker, I raised my hand and asked "When's he coming in?" to which the teacher replied "I'm Mr.Croaker". Upon comparing the two men later I was forced to admit, they look nothing alike.

The upside is that I have a photographic long-term memory. If I can get a fact into my noodle, I will never forget it. For instance the key-code to the Chinese club is 725 in Vtmb, and the first key-code you encounter in the hospital has a code of 1969. I'm in the 99th percentile according to the school's testing.

I have horrible handwriting, thus horrible drawing skills. I also don't have the ability to make anything original. Usually I think of something completely original (to me) until I realize that I copied from many other games.

As for a skill I have that most other people who I come into contact with don't, I'd have to go with my understanding of how to troubleshoot problems. There have been many times I've been asked by someone to help them with a particular problem, (could be comp. related could be a plumbing conundrum.) and I usually can by just looking at everything separately to find a solution instead of looking at whatever the problem may be as one large mess.

Though I don't consider this a skill, it sure does seem like it at times. I'm usually the person my friends or my friend's friends ask when it comes to trivial crap. I'm usually berated by questions during a movie as to why something is happening or what something means, etc. etc.. Same thing applies to books. (wasn't particularly fun in school to be the "go to guy" for everything from book reports to Biology homework.)

My last skill I'd have to say would just be my knowledge of computers and computer software. I still don't know what is so hard for people to understand about one program in particular, Ventrilo. If anyone has ever been in a clan or anything along those lines were the program was used I'd imagine you know who I'm talking about, the one person who doesn't even know how to install the damn thing let alone use it.

As for a skill I do not understand I'd have to go with reading/ writing music. Never did make any sense to me, but then again I despised my Music teacher which couldn't have helped much.
