Kind of varies with the person, doesn't it? I can find something to admire on most women. One lady could have eyes you could drown in, another a radiant smile, a third a figure that brings to mind ancillary residential waste disposal structures crafted in masonry... When it comes to finding someone attractive, why specialize? Every age, height, weight, eye color, skin color, bone structure, hair color/length/style, body shape, and fitness level (short of Jaba the Hutt) is potentially someone attractive and interesting to see on some level. Actually there's a woman in a building I'm working in who is not that far from Jaba the Hutt and still remarkably attractive - but those are best appreciated with their clothes on.

If I had to date again (Heaven forfend!) and was selecting on physical and mental attributes (other than my usual winnowing process of who'll have me), I'd say intelligent, good sense of humor, self-confident, good moral character, nice eyes, good muscle tone, height and weight reasonably proportional, nice smile, nice hair. Anything interesting or unusual is a plus. Kinky is a plus. Plastic boobies are usually a deal-breaker except for necessary reconstructive surgery, although I've seen two large-framed but small breasted women who could carry them off. I tend to prefer small to medium breasts more than large, but my first wife is a Double D and that was nice too. I particularly like red hair, although I never dated a redhead. I love largish legs with good muscle tone. Overall I prefer women who look balanced, whether thin and fit or plump and curvaceous. And no penis. Definitely no penis.

I know 'smartgirls' has been tossed around a lot, but I've always wanted someone at least my level of intelligents (not hard) or higher. Someone that makes me feel like an idiot. I always feel like I can keep learning off these people.

At least a tiny bit nerdy or understanding; so when I feel the urge to rant about great games, make a DnD joke, etc, it doesn't fly over their heads.

Likes books, movies and listens to good music.

Also, they have to provide their own costumes and put out like a wild panther given twenty doses of adrenline!! (Okay, the last one was a lie... more like a TIGER SHARK!)

I really have no physical or personal type that attracts me perse. I've dated latino, white, black, and I liked all of it. But I have noticed that they were all very different from one another in personality and body type. My main physical rule is they need to be shorter than me and lighter than me, and have weight that is distributed in an asthetically pleasing manner. I don't need huge breasts or a shelf-ass (though they do increase the chances of me talking to you, hint hint). But I dislike guts. I don't normally go for the dolled-up type, I prefer natural beauty, but someone who takes care of themselves (I do, so I like for the favor to be returned). And a good personality and a acceptable amount of common sense is a plus.

But mainly what I look for is what I guess could be called "originality" in the person. They don't comform to every other person. I like the one's that stick out. And while I won't check off my list of lays in fear of being called a virginal liar, I will say that the girls I have found myself attracted to are different from the crowd (atleast most of them) in a "Whoa, who's the cute chick talking about obscure indie rock" rather than the "sits at lunch alone because she smells like a pet shop" different. Though the former can be different. I'm willing to retract some personality for actractivness, and vice versa, but I like to keep a very good middle ground. While this may mean I'm picky and my chances are low, I've had girls before, so there is hope I suppose.

Not to mention I'm just a hot piece, but that's besides the point.

Well TTT I guess I count assholes as any other bad attribute that isn't on my list, I know everyone has one or two bad things about their person but, nothing serious like being overly violent or needing to dress up like a baby for sex x_x eww... and I definitely don't want someone who treats me like crap.

Generally, the more of an asshole a guy is, the more of a bitch his girlfriend would be.

On the subject matter. I'm very unattracted to "The God's Girl" type who's overtly a Christian or celibate due to the fact. I'm not saying I want a slut,or for her to sleep with me at first chance. Quite the contrary, but I hate people who find sex to be "wrong" or even repulsive due to religious or moral conviction. And I'm all down for all religious persuasions. But people who don't think for themselves and are just lemmings to their church's ideals infuriate me. Religion shouldn't be a replacement of independent opinion and thought. And girls in my area far too often let this happen. Welcome to the bible belt!

I'm a lay Buddhist, so usually those girls probably wouldn't go for me either once they acquired that information (its not like I go around screaming it). But regardless its a two way streak. No degree of hotness can make me really overlook that type of person.

And not to sound like a pig, but being hot and having that outlook is like buying a PS3 Premium on Launch Day and saying "You can have it, but you're not allowed to touch it, and don't even THINK about playing it, you dirty monster you...".

Although it's easy to separate physical and mental qualities, I think that attraction has a lot to do with the synthesis of the two (at least personally). Regardless of how easy on the eyes someone might be, its not likely I'd develope a crush/"thing"/attraction/etc unless that is paired with a friendly personality and warm demeanor. Physically, I find myself most attracted to 'real' girls with 'real' bodies, as opposed to airbrushed models and the fashionablly annorexic.

As far as superficial factors that would push the scale in favor of attraction:

- Geek/Freak/Goth chic
- Glasses
- Pale Skin
- Eyeliner (looks great!)
- Aforementioned "real body"
- Tattoos (though this can backfire)
- Short Skirt + Fishnets + Boots or Kneesocks = Yum

On "deeper" factors:

- Intelligence
- Friendliness / Kindness
- Shared Interests
- Appreciation for weirdness
- Experience (min lvl 20... sorry, couldn't resist)
- Good Humor
- Creative Passion

Hour glass shape, long hair and smooth skin. I like girls with some meat on their bones, not the walking barbies that you see everywhere. I can forgive any (well near any) physical trait if she is witty with a dry sense of humor, slightly innocent and shares some of my interests (mainly games, books and anime). My current gal is all of the above save innocent...

too true since even women who are 5' 2" will have this standard. this height standard also basically omitts most of the population (avg male height is 5' 7") not to mention a majority of mexicans and asians.
