Thank you everyone! I have gained faith in humanity from reading over this thread. I'm happy there are a lot of us who share these opinions. Humanity has the ability to become something more, to get past their petty differences, its just that there are a lot of people out there happy in their boxed minds.

I hear them all the time. Small, little comments that make me say "Wow, are people getting dumber by the day or am I just going crazy?". These things don't have to be world-altering acts of war or anything, no, just small acts and comments that make me have a double-take and think "Are you kidding me?".

Most recently, these things have made me lose respect for people and my faith in humanity...

Example 1:

"In a few days, a movie's coming out that I'm excited to see..."

"What's that?"

"Death Race."

Example 2:

"You're a Buddhist, right? So why are you defending jewish people? Didn't Buddhism start in Guam or something?"

Example 3:

"Jumper was awesome, you have no right to talk about what movies are good! I mean, seriously! You like Pulp Fiction, There Will Be Blood, and Clerks! You like stupid movies."

(Pulp Fiction won a Cannes Award, There Will Be Blood had multiple Oscars, and Clerks is considered by both film critics and fans as a cult classic that left a huge impact on American cinema.)

It's because instinctively, we clinch whenever we hear something we hate or believe the exact opposite off.
Think about how much more people love the next human as opposed to how much they hate him.
I get more caresses than blows, I get more compliments than diss, I have many friends and no enemies. But those are un-interesting facts because devoid of adversity.
Have you ever seen a movie with no antagonism or any form of threat? No, because a story with no adversity is not worth of mention. Humans just like challenge and striving.

I lost my respect for Humanity when I found out just how far some people will go to get what they want. Example, Mobius' ex wife, and a former co-worker of mine. One stole my Fiancee from me just because she wanted him. Then she lied, cheated, and made his life miserable. The other got PREGNANT just because she wanted the security guard that was working at Wal-Mart while the Remodel was going on. Plus I've seen other women, and a few men, go great lengths just to make others lives a living hell. I know I'm being cynical, I've been like this all day. Welcome to the world we live in. If you have a problem with it, suck it up like the rest of us are forced to do least we get homicidal.
