Wow, you must not be familiar with how Terry Gilliam makes movies. They almost never have happy endings. 12 Monkeys I loved Time Bandits. It's one of the first films I can remember seeing in my life, and it stands out over all other children's fare I've seen because of the gritty realism, anti-heroes, and dark comedy. "Heroes?!?! HEROES!?!?! What do THEY know about a day's work???" |

I think the general consensus is that was the last moment of Tony's life. They threw enough symbolism in the last 5 minutes of that episode to make that a sound conclusion. I agree that is a suck ending though, I wanted Tony to live long enough for a film adaption :( Sorry if I spoiled that for anyone, but if you haven't seen it yet, you probably don't have any serious intention to. |

Harry Goz passing away and leaving Sealab humorless and eventually canceled was a bad ending to a great show too. |

It is fiction. I really hope they do a second season because it is one of my favourite shows I've ever seen. |

/Agree. The ending of the original Dawn of the Dead makes no sence! I can't even contemplate what is going on in it and than a zombie gets a gun and contemplates what its doing. Arrrgh! *shoots self in the temple*. |

That's the kind of ending you're supposed to expect for a film like that. It wasn't weird at all. Though the show isn't over yet, House definitely took a turn for the worse at season four. Getting rid of the original team was a bold, and somewhat understandable move to get rid of the repititiveness of the previous seasons, but it doesn't pay off when you include the guy from Harold and Kumar and the lesbian from The OC. |

The film is still way better then the book. Even the author of the book thinks the book is crap compared to the film.
The Da-Vinci code book is easy-to-digest. At least Tom Hanks gave some personality to a character that had none in the novel. |

Never should have sequeled 28 Days Later. That film was near enough bloody perfect. |

The film is so much more visceral. I prefer the film's ending, too. Controversy! |
Muckraker Posts: 331 Joined: 17 Apr 2008 | every (mostly gangster) film where they follow the rise and fall pattern. i loved how they left the sopranos for this exact reason, and yeah the fight club ending annoys the hell out of me. why didnt he just go along with it? i would of much prefered to be tyler durden than the narrator. |

Eh, I thought it was an okay ending, I mean, two jackhole kids kill the world with their sentimental BS and stupidity. Then again I'm the only person I know that actually liked the ending to Stephen King's 'The Mist'. Anyway, crappy ending. Got to say one of the worst endings I've seen has to be The Fog. The original had a bad ending, but the film had a sort of campiness that made up for it (zombie ghost leper pirates ftw). Now the remake was just...it was awful, "hey the leper ghosts are killing everybody with no discrimination, oh wait, this girl turns out to be the daughter of the leader of the ghosts even though she's alive and was born and grew up here, and now she becomes a ghost" House of the Dead had another gloriously crummy ending, but then what else could you expect from the movie. 10,000 B.C. also had a 'meh' ending to me. Thought it would have been nice if they had left it as it was instead of having the witch doctor lady do her crazy miracle stuff to make everything end happy. Ah well, I could go on and on about bad endings but I'll just leave it at that for now. |

I disagree with the Untouchables ending...I thought the ending was perfect as is. However, I do wish whoever had written the line for Ness to say to Capone could have found something more final to say. The whole point of the movie was, of course, how far Elliot Ness would go to get Al Capone- in the end he had to beat them at their own game using their own rules. |

Firefly does have a "sort of" ending movie- I can't think of the name...it was the one about the 12 year old girl with the power to kick the hell out of these "Reaver" beings. I saw it and enjoyed it, even though I had not ever seen any of the series. |

Agreed. I've never watched that film again, despite some serious good bits in it. Brazil does the same thing but SO much better. American Werewolf in London has such a shitty ending it's untrue. |

That said, the Buffy Season 8 and Angel Season 6 comics have been awesome so far. News of more Red Dwarf just practically gave me a semi, and I can't believe I didn't hear about it until now. Heroes season 2 got kind of screwed by the writers' strike, as did Lost season 4 and a bunch of other things. |

Oh, I love "Serenity". It was brilliant. However, I would have preferred that the series continued as "Serenity" was considered season 2 of the series. Plus, Wash probably would have not died. The only real reason he did in the film was due to filming conflicts as Alan Tudyk was doing Broadway at the time and Joss couldn't afford to delay filming. Then again, Joss is known for just randomly killing off main characters. Plus, it would have been nice to learn the extent of River's true powers as a psychic and an ass kicker. Especially considering she goes from just a crazy teenager to a battle axe wielding badass. I remember seeing movie posters for "Serenity" and the first thing out of my mouth was, "Who the f*** gave River weapons?!" As a standalone, the movie is great, but if you've watched the series as well, you can't help but wonder what else could have been explored. |

The first three seasons were fantastic, even though they killed of John Rhys-Davies mid season three. Then the show started to go downhill when another cast member was killed offscreen, but they brought in the main character's twin brother, ok. The show went to complete shit in the beginning of the fifth season, when they GOT RID OF THE MAIN FUCKING CHARACTER!!!! |

Night Shymalallalalaalallaman, who had some credit to his name at the time)an amazing twist, perhaps I built it up too much, but I was dissapointed. Donnie Darko also has a terrible ending, once again I was expecting a twist but was rewarded with pretentious crap. The Green Mile makes the list, the ending wasn't bad but my god did I hate the old people in that film. If you can watch that old woman say "He Infected you...with life?" without feeling the urge to kill her, her family and everyone she has ever known, then I owe you a coke. |

BANNED Posts: 530 Joined: 31 Jul 2008 | I always thought that Angel (1999 - 2004) had a really terrible ending and a disappointing final season. Season 3 was simply epic with the return of Darla and Holzt and Wesley being exiled, and the entire theme of season 4 was very unique and interesting. Season 5 had potential when Angel moved into Wolfram & Hart, but that was largely pissed away when they went back to the simple one episode plot lines like the first season, and the last two episodes were just poorly executed and half assed. Really, it all went downhill when they killed Lilah. Angel is one of my favourite shows, but man the ending was a let down. User was banned for: Atheism is HILARIOUS!. (3 days) |

to anyone who has seen the film "Funny Games"
i am just going to mention the "remote control" scene and follow it up with a bunch of question marks. here they are: ????????????????????
the film up to that point is pure 24 carat solid gold
it's twisted, yet intelligent with absolutely superb acting
then it introduces a potentially fantastic plot twist, but carries on to the end of the film like it never happened
it makes the whole movie from then on very confusing and no attempt is made to remedy the situation
oh well i'd still recommend the film to anyone over the age of fourteen
if you're one of those rare few who has seen it already, let me know if you agree
