Led Zeppelin is pretty tight too. The Beatles...I am the Walrus and Helter Skelter are some of my favorite songs for some reason. |

Yea if you haven't heard of Led Zeppelin then there is something extremely wrong with you. |

Yea Pink Floyd is an easy second for me. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1431 Joined: 9 Aug 2008 | Hrm... right this very second... Wretched. Mostly because I saw them live last night and I am currently wearing their band t-shirt. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 5 Joined: 5 Sep 2008 | Whenever faced with this question, I choose to fall back on the bands I deem "guilty pleasures"; those being Mindless Self Indulgence and The Killers. While I also prefer bands such as At the Drive-In, The Matches, Tokyo Police Club, Dr. Manhatten, and so forth, they are all so many and changing in their importance to me. MSI and The Killers, however, are always right there to fall back on, though, so I deem them favorites by technicality. |

The Devil Wears Prada, wasn't expecting someone to bring them up. Nice choice, well one of four. |

Rush is singularly the most over-rated rock band of all time... |

Infamous Scribbler Posts: 523 Joined: 29 Dec 2007 | Am I the only one who doesn't really like bands, but rather individual songs? As for bands that I like, I like most of the Dresden Dolls songs, and a good number of Freezepop. Just started really listening to Jonathan Coulton, and he has some good songs. Not really a "band" per se though. |
Paperboy Posts: 20 Joined: 24 Jul 2008 | Not a band, but as you can see, one of my favorite artists is Bob Dylan. The Beatles are usually my favorite band. My favorites change from time to time. Ramones, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Velvet Underground, The Clash, Led Zep, Beach Boys,... hard to choose! |
Muckraker Posts: 329 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | Sam Roberts. He's a guy from Quebec who writes great rock and acoustic stuff. Plus I'm seeing him in concert tomorrow, so I'm pumped. |

same here. though if i could only listen to one band for the rest of my life it would easily be pink floyd though, more music overall and much more varation in their music when compared to zep (or rather any band/artist for that matter). |

That's a bold statement. (Get it?) |
Infamous Scribbler Posts: 658 Joined: 29 Mar 2008 | im no looking for trouble, but why do you like pink floyd?... i mean i know some song but what makes it so special to you? and i repeat im not saying pink floyd its not good or something... just i guess it dosnt get me that way |

Thems fightin' words. While I'm not very patriotic, I do enjoy the music of many Canadian artists. Rush is a big one, and props to implodingMan for mentioning Sam Roberts. My favourite band is easily Sloan at the moment. |

Sorry, that might have come off a bit harsh. I just really don't care for Rush at all. I don't think there's a single song of there's that I like and that's saying something. And while it really boils down to personal taste, I still just can't see what the big deal is about them. But that's the same thing I say about Country Music and Soulja Boy and people still seem to like them, so... |
