Ares Tyr,

Yeah I seen that one before, it's similar to this.
Personally I think the wrestling one is worse, since Sid is over 300lbs so I'd imagine the pain & damage would be worse as there would be more weight on the leg, plus no one is actually suppose to get hurt in wrestling. But then again his boot supported his leg a bit.

This fuck up however, evoked a lot of bad feeling in me, including guilt & memories of when I accidentally broke a girl in Judo class.

Series 7: The Contenders has a similar premise to Battle Royal, but is much sicker.

It organised by a reality TV show & is done purely for public entertainment, & isn't secluded, it happens in everyday life. The contenders are chosen at random & they have no choice in the matter, & no warning either, just a knock at the door, the film crew gives them a gun & they have to murder people & fight for their lives, plus everyone is watching it just like any other reality TV show.

I also thinks it's more disturbing than Battle Royale because it you don't get the detachment you get with Japan in the future, it happens in everyday normal America & looks like any other reality TV show.

Damn, why haven't I seen this show? It looks so awesome. I love it just by premise.

And I've seen the kickboxing one before also. That would suck to have happen... Man.

Another similar oh DAMN moment in MMA is the Randleplex, since when you first see it you can't understand how his neck isn't broken, nevermind the fact that it hardly even stuns Fedor.

I've found my favourite Oh Damn! moment in MMA, this is so funny, Bas & Stephen's commentary makes it hilarious, the jokers, as do the movie sound effects Bas is making. Classic.

I've seen that first one also. Fedor is inhuman. Him and Anderson Silva stand on another level above basically every other fighter (and human being) alive.

Wow... I haven't seen that before. I've seen some nasty mouses (or Rats even) on people's eyes but never that big on their forehead, haha. "It's like the movie Scanners or something! Some Alien's gonna pop outta his head!"

Have you seen this? Bodog women's, its pretty bad also. I saw that live, though. I was watching the fight on TV and I went "OH SHIT!". Rosi Sexton was crying in her corner because she felt bad, her trainer(/boyfriend?) was holding her head so she wouldn't see what had happened.

Tommomi wanted a rematch afterwards, which speaks alot for how tough that chick is.

RE: Branko Cikatic v Ralph White - I just love how Bas & Stephen are joking around after it happened, even though it looks pretty serious. Stephen's Burgess Meridith impression is classic. "Cut it Rocky, cut it!"

When Stephen said "It's good thing John McCain didn't see this fight". Was he referring to the same John McCain who is running for president? Was he the Jack Thompson of MMA?

Shit man, that woman's injury seemed bad, even worse because of how much she was screaming (understandable). The commentary said it was dislocated, which isn't as bad if it had snapped, but still, ouch.

It reminds me of how I dislocated me knee, picking someone up & in a fireman's carry & due to an unlucky freak positioning of angles, all our bodyweight caused my kneecap to pop out completely to one side & my femur smashed into my tibia, shattering both bones. Talk about snap, crackle & POP!

Yes, it's that John McCain. He used to equate MMA to "Human Cockfighting" and wanted it banned in the U.S. Another reason why I'm an Obama man.

And yeah, when I saw that fight I was freaking the fuck out because I'd never seen anything like that up 'til that point. So, yeah, after seeing worse things like the broken shins, I've been rendered a numb individual on the inside.

And all I have to say about that last statement is "Fuuuuuuuck...". That shit must have hurt, dude, I can't imagine. The worst martial arts related injury I have is a sprained/torn ligament in my ankle from falling on it after delivering a drop kick on a wavemaster bag (see: being a dumbass). Apart from that I've been pretty lucky. I did dislocate my friend's elbow one time with an armbar once though. Which the tough bastard promptly snapped back into place and continued with the class. Good times. But you got us both beat.

Those bags can be a bitch. Once in Mauy-Thai class I mistimed a hard kick on a heavy bag which was still swinging, so I only connected with the tips of my toes & hyper extended my ankle and calf muscles. I took a day to sink in & I couldn't work out why I couldn't walk when I woke up the next morning.

Anyway dude, it's been good talking with you, but it's almost 7am over the pond & I need to get some sleep. Catch you later.

in a movie, my biggest "damn!!" moment is in Final Destination 2 when the kid gets crushed by the plate glass thing

but in games..

that honor goes to the opening cinematic of Fallout 2, I know we're not talking games, but I had to say it.

Damn, brother. You have bad luck, huh? Shit, that toe kick shit is bad news. I know that pain... and I know what its like to wake up in horrible, horrible pain. Especially during wrestling season. I'd wake up and literally scream out "WHAT THE FUCK!?" because I was so suprised over how much my body hurt. The day before, your like "whatever..." then the lactic acid settles in, your body rests, and you soon realize that you fucked up real bad... Heh. Love it.

he had to have not hit his nuts as hard as it looks.

If he really did, he'd be puking and screaming, or passed out, not walking around silently.

That's a big one that sticks out in my head actually, I'm just reserving some of mine. Good one though. Joker became the biggest bad ass in Batman history for that moment alone.

When Eduardo broke his leg on, um, football.

The film ruined the film, seriously. But still, bad luck with the spoiler. :( I enjoyed the movie, even though it was terrible.

The end match in Rocky Balboa had loads of "Dayamn!" moments for me. I was pretty much jumping out of my chair during the whole thing; intense man, intense.

Edit: Oh, and every Lost episode ever. It's the best for that "Oh shi--" feeling.

Jim Rome getting knocked the fuck out by 'Chris' Everett. best television moment of all time.

Sadly, there's no footage that exists of Jon Lovitz pummeling Andy dick to the point of hospitalization backstage at SNL.

I just had a look at that, it's not nearly as bad as some of the MMA leg breaks.

The most disturbing thing about the whole incident it is your comment about never getting an erection again. Why, praytell, would this be?

Personally I never found Eduardo to be very sexy to before he got his leg broken, or thought football was erotic at all, so watching that clip hasn't caused me any problems.

This is an easy thread to respond to...

1) Kevin Spacey's revelations in "Seven"- yes, he was in it...go rent the movie.
2) When Hannibal Lector gets on screen in "Silence of the Lambs"
3) "Phone Booth" and "Inside Man"- Keifer Sutherland and Clive Owen deliver so well in those to movies.
4) "Identity"- a very interesting take on multiple personalities.
5) Demon City Shojenku- when the guy is trapped in the dreams of dead children...that was F''n Awesome
6) Somebody Said when Sid Vicious broke his ankle on WCW??ithink, but they neglected to mention when Buff Bagwell broke his neck at the hands of Rick Steiner shortly afterward.
