I would be playing video games at the moment.

Seriously, after I discovered the Escapist Forums, my consoles are collecting dust.

...Holy crap i just realized how little i play videogames since i joined this site.

Is that weird? Maybe it's just the un-re-playability of newer games.

Glad to see I'm not alone.

Hey Joe:
I wouldn't exist without the escapist. I am but a figment of your imagination. Yes, I'm talking to you...by god you're ugly.

I'm sorry, I'll work on that.

I actually rarely touch my sexbox now. The thought haunts me.

Larenxis:
I would sleep more, watch more tv, write less, type slower, be more punctual, and feel a little less good about myself. Overall, the idea of The Escapist just closing down without warning and never returning is a horrifying thought, mostly because of the loss of great friends.

It'd be like the hamsters screwing up again... but for good! It'd be like an entire chunck of my life, gone, ripped away from me, like tearing a fish from the sea, like the moon from the sky, like a... ok, I'm being melodramtic, but I would miss you guys.

Sometimes, I actually have to force myself to finish up on the internet and start playing games. It sucks, because I really should complete the games that I have rather than talk about them on the internet.

In fact, I'm going to play games right now. See you later.

I didn't think we did?

As Honourary President of the Escapist, I demand a badge, and a gin and tonic, and a new car. (turns around) You guys want anything? Cause I'm only going to order this once.

A damn recount! I tells you I've been had! It was rigged I say!

A life without the Escapist? Hm...it'd be different that's for sure. I'd never get a chance to enjoy the RPs nor the discussions. I'd keep my inner grammar nazi on a tighter leash, but that's just not healthy. I'd be bored to tears whenever I needed a place to hide from /b/'s cancer as well. It just wouldn't be the same.

Wilsoncerazybed would have to become a mod on another site to inflict pain and misery.

All intelligent people on the inernet would be gone and constructive criticism would be a thing of the past. (I don't care if I spelled criticism wrong.... or right...SHUT UP!)

EDIT: I corrected intelligent.

You spelled criticism right but not intelligence.

Come to think about it, I would be an unpunctuated retard. Now, it hurts when I don't see proper punctuation and spelling.

The internet would be a much darker place
I wouldn't be able to correct people's bad spelling
I wouldn't get to point out my kickass iQuit avatar as much
I would have to go back to the Roosterteeth forums
I would miss you all

That would suck... A lot. The Escapist is one of my primary time wasters, and I'd miss the community.

I'd be on the Ijji forums(its the site that runs (North American Gunz; A game you can get the expierence of by watching the matrix, playing CoD4's epilogue on veteran, then stapling your fingers to the wall.), I'm glad the escapist is here or I'd still be in that hell-hole set of forums.

I am a member of an Extreme Off Road Jeep forum as well... So, more cars, less immaturity like this thread....

Wouldn't happen to know a Pestomatic* would you?

On topic: I would have almost nothing else to do with myself, these are the only forums I tust and like. My attention span is kinda short yet the escapist holds it for hours.

* = name.

I am Darth Mobius on that forum as well.

Okay, There is no Pestomatic on the jeepsunlimited.com forums

PurpleRain:
I would never have talked to Larenxis, Galt, Mobius, Necroswanson, Sorrow, Pie, Nil, Wilson, Anarchimesit, my fingers would cramp if I tried to type all the names in.

Probably about the same except that instead of clicking on the escapist in my favorites, I would just click on the next thing in my favorites. Which happens to be porn. So I would replace the escapist with porn.

By the way thats a joke, I keep my porn links in another folder.

I would lose a few levels worth of grammar, typing, and RPing exp, and lose a huge target for the spreading of reason, truth, and incredibly good sense in videogames and literature. And I would finally have time to play through HL2 :p

I would spend more time on the GameFAQs boards. *shudders*
Now that's a scary thought.

And Cracked.

Cracked is fun, but way less mature than the Escapist, then again that can be said for many forums.

We play less games so we can talk about playing games, go figure.

I think my consoles are actually starting to rust on me, they've been neglected so long during the Great Summer Gaming Drought. Oh well, who needs multi-million dollar games when you've got exciting text flying around the internet.

Funny thing is, it's now a reflex for me to hit "e" whenever I open Firefox or Safari (Depends on which computer I'm using).

So it seems as if I am the only one whose gaming hasn't suffered from this site. Most of the time I am on here I am playing my Xbox at the same time. If anything I have been playing more games, as I have found out about good games from you lot that I would have never heard about. I love you lot, well most of you, O.K some, and I wouldn't really call it love more that I have become fond of you.

Then there would be no haven on the internet for rational, sane, grammar loving individuals. A scary thought indeed.

Without The Escapist, my review style would have never been refined. So, insofar as that is a factor in my life (maybe it'll help me finally understand the value of brevity in my writing), I must thank the community for that much.

I used to wake up and play a game, now I wake up and post on this. How can it be so addictive?!

I wouldn't of been stuck in a chain of events that lead me to watch a subbed anime that kicks ass. (soul eater if you care to know) Also I'd be using a bow-flex more often
