What are some films that, no matter how many times you have seen them before, you can always watch again?

For me Silence of the Lambs, There Will Be Blood and Watership Down never seem to lose their appeal after watching. Other than those I tend to watch most movies once before shelfing them.

Army of Darkness. It's the best movie ever made, a fact that's reaffirmed every time I see it.

There are a bunch of others, like the (original) Star Wars trilogy, Sin City, Groundhog Day and well, the list can go on a long while. I consider rewatchability (is that a real word? ...it doesn't sound like a real word... for the purpose of this post I'm gonna assume that it is, though) very important. If I love a movie, I should be able to see it over and over without getting bored.

Army of Darkness kicks ass.

Ah yes, good old Monty Python and The Holy Grail- I agree with you on that, and I'd probably agree with you on more if I had ever seen the other movies you mentioned....

I vote for Life of Brian, the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy, and stuff by Tim Burton, among other things....

Pretty much anything Indiana Jones and Star Wars. That said, outside of those I enjoy very few films and don't bother watching them anymore, so my opinion not be the most expert.

The Addams Family. There's just something immensely charming about it.

You can also watch porn over and over again. I find myself doing that a lot sometimes.

Ahh yes, absolutely loved that movie. I like "The Rock" with Nicholas Cage and Sean Connery. I put it on one night in hopes of falling asleep to it. I ended up being awake for 3 hours after the movie ended because I was so pumped up from it.

Iron Man, which was reaffirmed when I watched it on Blu-Ray yesterday night.

I may be thinking of a different movie than you, but I really don't see how you can see "There Will be Blood" more than once. It's amazing the first time, don't get me wrong, but after you know what will happen and when I would think it would lose its luster.

I saw Iron Man four times in theaters, and I'm seriously thinking about buying it on DVD. It's that good.

First rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club.
I almost eternally watch The Sting or Singin' in the Rain.

Lot's of movies I "think" I can watch over and over turn out to be one-offs for me. Bought Kill Bill 1&2, only watched em a couple times. However, anytime The Shawshank Redemption, Seven, or Sin City is on TV, I watch them right through. Maybe it's 'cause they're the movies I never bought. If I bought them, maybe I wouldn't like them as much.

I don't know how many more times it is going to get mentioned, but... definantly The Dark Knight. That movie was worth paying to see more than once.

The Princess Bride, Shaun of the Dead, The Science of Sleep, Marie Antoinette (don't even like it all that much, but I seem to watch it every time it's on), The Lives of Others, and many more. It hardly feels like watching a movie if you haven't seen it at least twice.
