Yes, it finally happened. After ten years, Blade of the Immortal now has it's own animated series. BotI started airing on Japanese television back in Jully 08 and there are already subbed episodes floating around the internet.

I for one was excited when I heard. Blade of the Immortal got me into manga and to this day is still one of my favorite reads.

I watched the first four episodes and...I had mixed feelings at first. The sketchy edge of the art was gone (it would be difficult to duplicate in an animation though) but, it was still cool to see scenes that I've come to love from the manga itself. It started off quite slow and lacked a little of the punch the manga had but, by episode three I was like "YES! They finally got it!".

Check out the animated series, or better yet pick up the manga if you haven't read it. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the info anyways. I love the BOTI manga and had no idea they finally made it into an anime series. Is the action as awesome/violent as in the manga?
