I could never get into DDO (perhaps because I never played D&D), but I'm happy to see so many people commenting on it -- and, I assume, playing it. Turbine never publishes server populations any more (not since they got out from under Microsoft), so I had no information on whether DDO was doing well or not. Apparently it is. |

I like what I see here and I am glad that I originally came here to vote in the mayhem, but am now enjoying reading and occassionally posting other places in the community as well. Did you not want new folks to come and participate? |

Though many were not satisfied with the service in Guild Wars, I was quite impressed to see the effort Anet put into trying to satiate the masses. Such a daunting task, but they have tried so exceptionally hard. Turbine has done a decent job in LoTRO of listening to the people as well. However, from talking with friends, I think there has been a certain degree of frustration with the infrequency of attention DDO receives (I understand the last content addition to DDO was awesome and greatly appreciated though!) I thoroughly love LoTRO and the great efforts of Turbine to remain true to Tolkien lore, but Anet didn't charge a monthly fee and still continued supplying updates, upgrades, and new content. LoTRO will be hard pressed to retain my attention when GW2 comes out. |
