(3) LucasArts vs. (2) Harmonix
LucasArts: With a win over Rockstar San Diego, LucasArts is looking extremely strong and could possibly have what it takes to take down Harmonix.
Harmonix: Rockers everywhere united to help Harmonix win the battle over Ensemble and clinching a Third Round slot against LucasArts, its hardest competition yet.

LucasArts is the King of Gaming Past, but after the end of the great adventure era, there were just too few good games.

As much as i look forward to "The Force unleashed", the Future belongs to Harmonix

I'm going with Lucas Arts on this one. Rock Band is fun, but I only enjoy it when a bunch of people are around. I can play Lucas Arts games anytime and have fun.

You guys are crazy. Between Guitar Hero and Rock Band, Harmonix has established itself as a top shelf developer, worthy of song and praise. They have an awesome community and their staff interaction is unparalleled.

Even the Escapist's own Zero Punctuation seems warm to them. (Which in itself is quite a feat!)

LucasArts, while I respect, have not done anything particuarly noteworthy in recent memory.

I've never been into the Adventure genre much (as you've all probably seen from my comments about Tim Schafer) - yet Shadows Of The Empire and Rogue Squadron on the N64 touched me in a special way. My friends, family and all their respective pets may be playing Guitar Hero; but I'm with LA on this one.

Lucasarts don't get through on their history. They've just pumped out too much crap recently to beat Harmonix.

I didn't touch my PS2 for 3 years until Harmonix' little gem called Guitar Hero II. They are awesome.

Harmonix put out the funnest party game in years.

LucasArts had a large hand in destroying one of the greatest MMO's ever.

This is no contest.

Let's have them hold hands and sing a merry song for their accomplishments, and morne their atrocious franchises. Then shit on them. Then more singing.

It's all about community. Honestly I love to see it, not to mention it's cool having different people to talk to on the community forums.

Harmonix! Off course.

You can't play drums in Star Wars!

No other developer has ever done as much to keep a game alive as Harmonix has. New DLC every week for the entire 2008 year just blows me away. Harmonix has set the bar very high for other developers just like 2ksports did with NFL2k5.

Lucasarts would have been the obvious answer ten years ago (assuming harmonix were alive then) but they've forsaken everything that made them great, whereas harmonix has stayed true to a vision and tried its level best to bring the best music game they can to the table along with a real variety of music.

Gotta be harmonix

All I have to say is much respect to Lucas Arts. I have played the Starwars series and loved it. With that said for me atleast they have nothing on Harmonix, and they deserve to win this. No other company has ever given me the ability to rock around the world with people I do not know. No other company has ever made me feel like I was really performing.

If for no other reason, Harmonix is the first company in recent knowledge that has kept the promises they made! They said DLC every week, and every week we have had DLC. I know people are going to say what about the bands, but they have told us they are coming and I know they are. Good Job Harmonix!

chalk me up for harmonix too, single handedly they are the most money I've spent on a video game since I was a little kid...I bought a x360 just for rockband, bought a subscription to live, and one of those overpriced wifi adaptors, the game itself, and enough M$ Points, that I've bought all of the DLC that's been released to date and I'm not done until they stop makin DLC. I'll even drop the $$ for the bigger HD if I need to just for all of the DL....

If this was 8 years ago, I would have voted LucasArts hands down. Since LucasArts are now a shell of their former self, and I love the Karaoke Revolution games, I am definitely going to vote Harmonix here.
