I need at least 4 people who would be interested in a Warhammer 40k RP if you are not familiar with Warhammer universe simply read a little about it on the internet but if your searching on the net remember it's 40k not fantasy.

We will be Any race if the majority of people want to change. But for this exapmple we will be the imperial guard. A human race who has massive numbers and really big tank and fire power. It is the future so there is lazer's space ships and even some magic.Are first mission is going to be to charge through enemy lines and into the heart of the ork base and illimanate there artillery.

You can have a Assault rifle (las gun) Grenade launcher, Flamethrower, Radio with (las gun), you all are equipped with Knifes and you will have helmets and body Armour.

Weapon:Bolt Pistol, chainsaw sword

Background:After his dad dyed in the service Jack took it upon himself to join the imperial guard. He was recently a successor of a commisar but after a horrific battle with a ork Warboss he is now Commissar.

Personality:Very brave,Intelligent, Caring about his troops.

Edit:As the commissar is walking to the trenches with his captain's choas artillery suddenly starts to rain down and rip apart any guard unlucky enough to get in the shrapnel's path.The commissar starts to talk immediately:'Hold your ground boys,Hold your ground do not let the empire's soil go to choas filth let's fight hard today so this place can be peaceful in the future. in the name of the immortal emperor and terra hold your ground. Let's show these choas filth what imperial guard are made of HOLD YOU GROUND'. The commissar jumps into the trenches to join his men....After an hard hour of artillery fire it suddenly stops and the commissar here's word of an attack coming there way he starts his chainsaw sword and yells'get out of the trench and charge , May the emperor be with us boys'. 'MAY THE EMPEROR PROTECT US' his remaining forces cry out stepping out of the trenches.

You picked the WH40K universe and went guardsmen?

why not some imperial kill team diverse over all fields, a IG vet, a death cultist, and inquisitor, a psyker?

Id love to see this run, but forgive me if i think perhaps its a bigger job than 8 lines of description can encompass.

Flesh it out a bit, get some structure, dynamics and a meatier plot and i will jump on this wagon like a fat kid on a trampoline.

Will the trampoline hold though? =P

Something tells me this isn't gonna take off...Didn't Purple Rain and Larnexis group do something like this recently?

Yeah cause 40k's already been done and no offense but probably better have you read some of Purple Rain and Larenxis's stuff?

The 40k universe is not one you role play in, not if you hold it to it's blood-soaked standards, which are written on the flesh of whatever was available at the time. Were it not for most of the races being so admirably detestable, I would pity any of them being born into that universe, even the nice-guy race the Tau are assholes in some manner, and not just in the "I rock in combat." way either.

John Galt created one around Febuary this year. Prehaps too soon for a new one?

Well thanks allot for all the feed back and all the comments. I'll work on a Warhammer Fantasy or probably a new 40k one game later on in the week....if i have time

Yeah i know it's too short but this thread was only made to see if people were intrested if they were i was gonna go back and do more.

I've always found the Tau sinister...all that "Greater Good" indoctrination... they always seemed a bit...well, facist.

And how dare you guys knock gaurdsmen! They're THE MOST interesting race in the 40k universe, Fondant is right on this one.

Hey! i like guardsmen...

they go down a carnifex gullet easy...

But that said, they dont make for good protagonists, and guard novels are to me the best, Apart from the Horus Heresy ones which are utter bliss.
