After that more environmentally solutions would be sought, our current water system overhauled and repaired (for such a base need, expense is somewhat lessened as a concern) and once the crisis was abated, steps taken to discover and combat the cause of the shortage.
Easily solved in the three steps of any crisis, Contain, Solve, Prevent recursion.

I used to like the Ultra party but this new Unity party sounds suspicious. It seems like the kind of organization that would partake in long, reasonable and drawn out debates that are ultimately pointless, the kind of place that deploys peacekeepers with shiny blue hats, a place that would 'ask' people to stop fighting, would 'request' that people refrain from polluting, and insist they stop trolling. And I don't like that idea. I don't want to see The Escapist turned into the United Nations.

The state of "unity", as described by the free dictionary, is to be made into one (Being in harmony; agreed). to turn a community with varied and different opinions into one that is unified would mean that there is only one version of each idea, as conflicts would not be harmonious or unified. as the escapist community has many different views on pretty much every topic, to be in harmony would not be possible. therefore, as you state that you will make the escapist unified, you state that you will eliminate one set of opinions.
to sum up, a community of people who argue and debate frequently in a (fairly) friendly manner cannot be said to be harmonious or unified. (note-my definition of harmony is similar to this one here)
Also, please let it be known that I really don't mean any offence to ultrajoe by irritating him on this forum, nor do I wish to start a flame war.
