The_Toe_Bighter98:
I particularly liked that thread leading to H.P. Lovecraftian themes, though one guy was obsessed with boating. This gave me an idea:

While boating, a dark mist settles around you. No matter how far you sail, you cannot escape it. Eventually, driven by an impending feeling of anxiety and doom, you head towards the nearby lighthouse you cannot escape. However your boat crashes against jagged rocks as you approach, forcing you to abondon ship and flounder towards the shore. You finally reach the shore, drenched, tired and scared. Standing, you watch as the lighthouse begins to flash with light, beckoning you onward.

I know, I know its meant to be one sentence. I couldnt stop myself, I swear! It was the hand I tell you, the hand!

God, that hand! The window! The window!

Sorry, could help myself. Mega cookie for those who know what I quoted.

You're weary from the long flight, you walk into your hotel room, sit down on the bed, kick your shoes off, and open your suitcase. The suitcase does not include your clothing and belongings, but instead you find what appears to be a hooker, cut into pieces and neatly wrapped as gifts.

Sorry, a little gruesome perhaps, but could be interesting to see where it goes

A man jumps off a building and lands in front of the investigators, dead. The next day, he shoots himself in head in their office. Every day, this same man is killing himself in more and more inventive ways in front of the protagonists.

Hrrmm..sounds like a Dagon good movie. :)

She wasn't supposed to come back this early. Seriously, she's gonna freak when she sees the kitchen.

No-one came out of the Detention room the same as they went in. Only a few ever came out.

How hard can it be to deliver some flowers?

You have killed thousands already but at what cost? Your Soul, Your Sanity, Your Family, Your Friends, and everything you care about are ashes, you now are the most feared man on the planet. You will no longer have to settle for your half baked ideals and so called morals, you will now know only death and destruction and know you will find your death on this world but at what cost? You have no soul, you have no sanity, no family, no friends who will put you out of your misery only brave people and fools will try and kill you making all the more enjoying for you, but you will die by their hands and you know this and you will fight it but it is inevitable that they will succeed.

A little dark I know but hay this came to me and it felt right so do not blame me blame my mind.

It was on a Monday morning the Gasman came to call...

Marcel Wallace wants his suitcase back

"Oh dear," said Florence, "That was the last of the sugar."
Dougal looked very annoyed.
"Then..." he said quickly "...we shall have to find some more!"

"Whoa! That was a heavy crash."
YES. IT WAS. DO YOU GENTLEMEN KNOW HOW TO PLAY CHESS?

Eh, I'm kind of bored right now so I'll post a few.

When the seventh seal is broken and the vault opened, all that is there is dust and shadows.

The planet had been blasted on every inch of its surface, turning verdant green land into pockmarked craters of black glass.

The messages kept on coming from the capital: Hold the fortress. Just three more days. Give Woundweaver more time.

The Doomsday Clock is but three seconds to midnight.

Beware false messengers.

Three men in black cloaks with tall, dark staffs have turned the entire town to ash.

Nothing will ever grow again on this forsaken rock, and good riddance I say.

Nothing is sacred, fool. Even your gods were but men once, in the ancient days.

The players are guards garrisoned on a long wall, akin to Hadrians Wall or the Great Wall of China during their respective heydays. There is no visible distinction between the lands on either side of the wall, and the wall section they are on is cut off entirely from the world save by a single pulley system which occasionally brings orders and supplies along in bucket like containers.

The players soon realise they actually don't know which side they're guarding from which, for they have no memory beyond their own names and the facts that they are garrisonned on the wall. The pulley system soon begins acting weirdly - only sending food if they complete increasingly bizzare and elaborate actions, and ferrying odd and seemingly useless items such as keys to doors that are nowhere on the wall, or quills without ink. Will the players do what they have to to survive? What is the mystery of the pulley? And why are they on the wall in the first place?

In the D+D universe, every time someone mis-spells "Rogue" as "Rouge", a gnome dies. The players have to find out why.

Zemalac:

The High Priest is an illusion.

*stares* Zemalac:What?

Anyway, here's mine, insert into any modern day RPG scenario

Once that one book fell off of the shelf in the New York public library, things got bad. The person reshelving picked up the book, and looked inside at the text as it was glowing purple. Little did he know, it was the lost Necronomicon, an ancient book of the Gods, never meant to be seen by mortal eyes. It turns any mortal that sees it into a ravenous zombie. That was two weeks ago, now, our squad is the only form of military left.

Hmm. It just occured to me that I probably should have used a different one as my first example. That adventure seed is in one of the D&D rulebooks, and I like it so much because it's so different from all the other ones. The rest say stuff like Evil mercinaries are building a fortress near town or Glowing lights have been seen in the mines, and somewhere in there there's just that one line: The high priest is an illusion. No explanation. It immidiately tickled my imagination, and remains my favorite adventure seed of all time.

However, without the explanation it is somewhat confusing, isn't it?

It was a simple fight, he had been in more than a few before and knew how to hold his own. He sat on top of the figure, punching it again and again. The frenzy took over and he worked into a violent rhythm. Left. Right. Left. Just before he brought down another punch he saw something out of the corner of his eye. It was a spark. Innocent enough, except it came from the figure's arm. He barely had time to realize this before a searing bolt of electricity blasted from the figure's fingers, sending Kevin flying into the brick wall. Just before he passed out from the impact, he saw one image. Standing right in front of him was a black, glossy crow. It looked at him with what he thought was smugness. His body went limp, and the darkness covered his eyes. He had a strange feeling that things were about to get interesting.

"Mother called, vampire hunting again."

So using that.

Song lyrics are always good : Cookie each for which song these come from.

"We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files. We'd like to let you learn to help yourself."

"Pictures came and broke your heart, put the blame on VTR."

"Far away across the field,The tolling of the iron bell,Calls the faithful to their knees,To hear the softly spoken magic spells."

I think I'll take stuff from a D&D campaign I'm running and turn it into adventure seeds.

In the mountains, the man with black knives hunts the gods.

Mourn for those who have been forgotten. Reaver speaks and no one can hear. (inscription on a sword)

You had been staggering through the frozen tundra for days, huddling your frozen form to help keep any vestige of warmth in your mind. Stepping over the next, endless amount of ridges, you trip. Landing face down onto a pile of snow, you attempt to get up when you hear the distinct crack of breaking ice. The icy floor shatters around you, and you fall into the mysterious darkness below. You hit the hard floor of this hidden tunnel, barely managing to stagger to your feet. Lighting a spare torch, you gaze around yourself. You have little idea where you are, and the way back is no longer possible. Choosing a direction, you head off into the forbidding underground, hoping to escape this place.

Mrs. Robinson, Video killed the Radio Star and no idea about the last one.

More song lyrics that kinda work I spose:
I won't let you fall apart, it's something I have to do.

Watch what you think, they can read your mind. This is the beginning...

There he goes, the Electro Gypsy, in his caravan, he's the future-man.

I heard it from a freind - the revolution never happened.

Now that everybodys here, could we please have your attention? There is nothing left to fear now that Bigfoot is captured.

(Follow me, don't follow me) I've got my spine, I've got my orange crush (Collar me, don't collar me) I've got my spine, I've got my orange crush (We are agents of the free) I've had my fun and now its time to send your conscience overseas.

Not mine:

The sky fills with noise briefly, followed by a loud crash. A cheer resounds from the attacking army on the impact, half a dozen more well placed salvos could bring those walls down. If the defenders want to hold the pass, those guns must be silenced.

Mine:

Suddenly, the figure remembered. He remembered the pain, the hate, the years of living in a comatose state, he remembered why, and how. But most importantly he remembered who...
