What the hell is with all the unnecessary censorship? It's not like we couldn't tell exactly what you were saying anyway and I get the feeling it came close to completely negating any laughing I was doing because the sound of the beep was so jarring and unnecessary that I'd forget why I was laughing in the first place and just sit in a very annoyed and awkward silence.

... that being said, the rest of it WAS hilarious. But please, walk up to whoever decided this needed to be censored and slap them three times. If it was yourself, stick your head in a doorway and then slam it shut. Thanks.

The bit about magically bee hands had me on the floor in convulsions of laughter, as did the threats to Dukem Nukem. But where the hell was Portal? Doesn't cake at least make a dent in magical-bee hands?

This is the first ZP review i have actually failed to laugh at...it just was not funny, it didnt cover any new ground, and was rather like one of those very annoying re-cap episodes you find in just about every single fucking science fiction series.

I just registered to say this:

I thought the censorship was unnecessary, and detracted from the humor.

9/10. You would get a 10/10 but apparently I don't find unnecessary beeping very funny.

I was below par (just slightly) for ZP IMO. The censorship bugged me as well. Nice to see Yahtzee getting recognition tho.

The review was shown at the conference before it was posted online and I am guessing that is why it was censored

Jeez you people, this was played in front of a live studio audience! Apparently they were too lazy to uncenser some things, and generally it was a recap of the year, it is the GDC after all.

I liked it and found parts of it funny, halo being pegged as some nameless guy like the crowd, and the little evil minion stealing the podium.

Loved it. Not the best one there is, but still friggin funny.

Also, what kind of celler-dwelling freaks register at midnight just to say that this wasn't their favorite episode of ZP?

Just the one problem I had and that it was complete b*bleep*ks. I mean what the f*bleep*k was that? Recycled jokes (who doesn't for award shows anyway), praise for Gordon Freemon *coughnotgaycough* and another f*bleep*king reference to Guitar Hero.

A bit on the light side, probably due to the way it had to be presented and the neccessity for it to be suitable for a general audience but otherwise great ZP.

It's not the reason that it was censored that's the problem (or at least, the entire problem), it was the fact that it was censored POORLY. If they didn't want people to hear the big bad naughty words then whoever censored it should've done so that you couldn't tell what the words were at all as opposed to just making a very annoying albeit short beep in the middle of the word.

when yahtzee mentioned timeshift not copying half life but every other game, that made me lol.

I have no idea how 3drealms will revive the glory of duke nukem. I spent 3 years on 3d when first came out and still play a bit every few months. The new DN would need a fist to break out of the monitor and punch my face if it wants to be on par with the 3d experience.

So phrases like 'jacking off' got censored, but it's fine to have a sign reading 'seats: shit loads' in the ps3 sketch? The censor needs to be slapped.

Content was excelent as always though Yahtzee.

As many have said before me, wtf is up with the censoring? I understand it was aired on television, this isn't television. How hard is it to get the original unadulterated version? No we do not feel like we're getting a more real experience for it being presented in the exact same way it was aired on TV. This is the internet, we have come to expect a basic lack of censorship, and seeing it here is a strange and ugly thing.

These commentaries will no doubt increase ZP's viewer base, but for those of us who have already seen them all they were a bit unnecessary. Almost everything that is said in these has been said in another review of his and better.

Thanks for making them available even though they weren't produced exclusively for The Escapist, but not on par with his usual quality of work.

The bleeping was very jarring, but oh well. Would be nice if this could be updated with an uncensored version at some point. Strange though - arse is okay, but not shit or tits. What is the world coming to?

The DNF comments were funny as hell, as were some of the other bits. Strangely found it much faster than usual this week - had to watch it twice to hear ol' Yahtzee properly.
