I actually went to pick up some games right after christmas and the clerk was saying he loved Uncharted. I said I'd only heard negative things about it and he was like; "Shut it, blackey".
Well he didn't say that, but he gave me a look that said as much.
Either way, I didn't think the game was going to be ground breaking.
Once again, super glad to see Yahtzee.
I lurves me some Yahtzee.

The live camera Yahtzee part was unspected but somehow entertaining.
I don't know how people didn't realize that Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was a massive rip-off. I, by just looking at the gameplay demo, realized that it at least ripped-off Prince of Persia and Tomb Raider. But, I didn't thought of Indiana Jones at the time so the game actually rips-off pretty much everything.

It's just like Crysis only in a bigger scale: The protagonist is in a squad of millitary specialists, who go to another country to slaughter another race. It kinda rymes with Predator, specially when the dead guy hanging in tree appears, plus the whole alien threat thing.

That said, long time watcher, awesome review as per usual.

I've been waiting to see if Yahtzee could maintain the chewy goodness that are his reviews. So often you'll find someone who is talented, funny...and a flash in the pan. The writing becomes old and stale as jokes are recycled, and it falls into the pattern of insipid sameness.

What's the reverse of jumping the shark? Where a show or other medium hits the sweet spot? Well, maybe we should call it YAHTZEE! because I think he's hit it. The reviews aren't just great, they continue to be great and deliver.

I'm guessing most of us calling Yahtzee hot are girls, as there is still this "anti-gay" stigma, last I checked.

I could tell that's exactly what the game was going to be like from the commercials. I'm sad I wasn't wrong.

Sorry Yahtzee, but I canīt understand most of your criticism.
Nearly everything you complained about could also be said for CoD4.

Racism? Well, Russians and Arabs. Plus, what to do, the game isnīt set in Europe, but in South-America
Quicktime-Events? Check (Dogs, grr)

Hey, Yahtzee, here's a question for you: how can you have the unmitigated gall to try to call out games for being predictable and repetitive when you just repeat the SAME LAME SCHTICK EVERY GODDAMN WEEK?

Yahtzee is pessimistic and rags on the games he reviews? Shock and horror!

On QTEs: I haven't played many games that use them lately, but do they all tend to kill you when you miss one? The main reason I could tolerate the ones in Berserk and Shenmue was because you were penalized for missing a button press - lose life, start a fight at a disadvantage, take the long way around, etc. - but it didn't force a reset.

Ummm....that's kind of the POINT of his reviews. The only two exceptions to this are Portal and Psychonauts. If you want praise flowing out of the ass for a game, go read one of the billion and a half 10/10 perfect score reviews given away like candy by the major game sites.
