OK, that was seriously the best ZP you have done yet. I was pissing myself laughing the whole way through. Most notably, I liked the Gamespot reference but I would have to say my favourite bit was the number 4. The 360 joke hit particularly close to home seeing as mine bricked just last week.

FYI Spell-checker, 'favourite' is spelled with a 'u' and there is no 'z' in 'customise'

Thank god someone finally explained how useless numbers are in a review.
Games can be 'reviewed' by a formula anymore. that might have worked in the vaguest of sense back in the 8 bit era, but today they're just too complex and diverse to award points to a game based on 'graphics' or 'music' or 'gameplay'.

That's why HSTV does their review and gives the game an arbitrary score based on how good they thought it was for it's category & potential.

Seems some people just got their backsides handed too them by the power that is Yahtzee.

I understand the purpose of this review. It takes awhile to play GTA4 and as such you need to put up something else to keep the masses placated. That said, reading over terrible fanmail and making fun of your "fans" is a theme that's somewhat overused and as far as "Yahtzee" humor goes I'd say it falls a bit short.

But what can you do?

This was priceless and very much needed. The reason Yahtzee's a good reviewer is because he doesn't give it a numerical value - he just says what he likes and doesn't like and leaves it up to whoever's watching the review.

At first I wondered why he'd bother to do a "mailbag showdown" edition, hilarious as it was. Then, remembering just how intensely stupid Internet fanboys can be, I went back to the SSBB review to check the posts. Two weeks and 1100 posts later, imbeciles are still whining at the top of their lungs about it. That's hilarious enough to rate at least one video slapping them down, possibly more. Great review Yahtzee, can't wait to hear your take on GTA IV.
