Im sorry but I have to bring up the still NEVER MENTIOND, online gameplay. SSBB is the first game in the series where you dont actually need to have friends! You can join random fights online and just smash your little heart out. That is the main thing im annoyed at not seeing in this review ever, there are other things but this is the biggest.

I consider myself a nintendo fanboy really, and I do like most of their big titles. I've not bought SSBB yet, but I will do soon. I've tried it tho and I found it very fun! And i STILL loved your review! Even this one! I do so agree with you that if you're having a good time with it, bad stuff you say about the game shouldn't get to me! And it doesn't. But i can CLEARLY (:P) see how some people ALLWAYS need everyone to think the games they like rocks.

I'm a total and helpless fanboy of SSBB an I still thought your review was highly entertaining. People just have a hard time remembering that there really isn't such a thing as a bullshit opinion.

I agree about the scores, I don't trust any reviews. I always suspected reviews were sell outs since all hyped games get similar high scores with similar positive things said about it. If I ever started reviewing games they would NOT have scores, a good and bad list, just a wall of text of my experience. But maybe at the end I'll have"I recommend this game to..." sediment to tell if and why you may like the game or not.

This was hilarious. I'm happy he decided to do something like this, just because I can only imagine what people's reaction to it was when they were the ones being spoken about.

As much as I hate to say that I did like Super Smash Brothers Brawl, there are of course its faults. Of course Yahtzee is allowed to have a different opinion then I, because that what makes people different. Therefore I applaud him for his reviewer integrity, and his decision to stand by his original claim despite the thousand post on SSBB.

Definitely the former, but since you brought this up I'd like to point out that I hated Nintendo's strategy and fans for much longer than I liked ZP. I realize that opinions are subjective and in the realm of "I like it" there is no right or wrong, but that doesn't stop me from thinking the fans are idiots and that most of what Yahtzee says is made of gold plated truth.

I've had my disagreements (namely with Assassin's Creed, which I thought was FUCKING AWESOME) but he's usually a great indicator of whether a game is good or not according to anyone that enjoys gaming as more than mindless stimulus (SSBB).

To be honest, I was expecting GTA IV but I hate GTA games, so this was just as good. I hope it felt as good for Yahtzee too. Its not every day someone can dip their hand into the sack of shit that must have been Yahtzee's inbox, take some of that faecal matter, and turn it into pearls.

Speaking as someone who used to date, and indeed nearly married a Nintendo fanboy I can safely say they all need a good hard kick up the arse. And as a gamer....Nintendo is a lot like Margaret Thatcher. Clearly the right thing to do is to hate it.

When did all the eight year olds watch this video? Who let them on the internet? Quite honestly, I have been playing Nintendo all my life and by far this game is the singular one that absolutely destroyed all the fun that was to be had in this series. And not to mention that the Nintendo Revolution, oh whoops, I mean Wii, was the most embarrassing thing that ever came out for some one who until up to recently was loyal to the Nintendo brand. Wow... Brilliant as ever. Anyone who ridicules someone for their opinion is retarded. Personally, I like Super Mario Bros games, I find them quick and easy to play and can be quite fun. It is probably the only reason I'd ever get a Wii... if it was free... and came with Norway...

I understand the purpose of this review. It takes awhile to play GTA4 and as such you need to put up something else to keep the masses placated. That said, reading over terrible fanmail and making fun of your "fans" is a theme that's somewhat overused and as far as "Yahtzee" humor goes I'd say it falls a bit short.
