I don't usually flame people online, not in a harsh way, but... Shut up, you blockhead twat. No-one cares for your bollocks, and even less for your bollocks-whining. |

then you have: To the "100000000 times" thing: And you have at least 3 ways to unlock the characters: beat subspace emisary and let x character join to your group , beat x number of brawls or do x thing. I don't see people complaining about some timesplitters characters which are locked from the start... |

Since you asked what he didn't like about GTA IV, and he replied with this - I'll just express my view on this. I found that hours passed quickly while playing GTA IV. Definately a title you should pick up, or at least rent, and then pick up. Arguably the best xbox 360 title. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 2 Joined: 7 May 2008 | "There's people who played games all their life, and then there's..." HAHAHA. Well there are. we are those who have no life's when you where young did you ever notice there where the children from your school you NEVER saw outside? they where busy tucked away in a dark hidey place playing games until they pass out due to lack o' food and/or sleep. I was one whoo! addmitingly Im never fond of my own posts and s instead of insulting the crap out of gaming, I just point my Wii-tard freinds in the general direction of Yahtzee's Reveiws, and hope that their thick skulls can understand half the stuff he says, without falling onto the ground from the slightest hint of anything complex. Short version of before post would be the gamers who surronded me used to just either shoot the crap out of each other on an Xbox, or complete some long new adventure game, and then talk about it the next couple of weeks, nowerdays all I hear is "oh wii is such a smart and intellegent console and really helps you exersize (<-can't spell)" and "Oh yay a new mario game it is so awesome and great and amazing" I much preferd listening to people talking about blowing the crap out of each other on one game, or talking about some game with a good plot, or just good games in general.. Like any of the halflife series. (portal included), instead of gimickey same old crap.. like say Mario. Nyeh I stop talking now, I suppose some of you might get where I'm coming from here. |

Why are characters even locked in a multiplayer title? That's complete bollocks however you look at it. Forcing people to play singleplayer in a multiplayer game, is like forcing people to sit at home, and have a 'singleplayer' party. |
Anonymous Source Posts: 2 Joined: 7 May 2008 | It's always funny seeing how people react when their work gets criticized, specially when they spend most of their time critisizing other peoples work... When it comes to Yahtzee, the difference between the people he made fun of and him isn't that big...
This for example, is something I expect in the hatemails. Anyways, keep up the good work Yahtzee, maybe someday you'll get to make real reviews. |

You really are missing the point I'm making. Brawl is being billed by all the fanboys as "one of the ultimate party games" so, you take it round a friends house, and the hugely hyped advertised characters are locked. You've then got to play a stupid ammount of times to unlock 'em. It's like Bishi Bashi Special going "yeah, there's a load of games, but you're stuck with the truck driving game for half an hour until you unlock 'em". The unlock system in brawl is a bag of crap, and I actually feel sorry for my friend who had to sit down and unlock the fucking thing just so he felt he was getting his money's worth. |

Because without unlockable stuff, the game would be pretty shallow, plus it gives the person an aim to go for. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 92 Joined: 25 Apr 2008 | I wonder how many of the people who say that they don't like this (sort of) review are people who have sent an email to Yahtzee in the past. It might be an interesting statistic. |
Anonymous Source Posts: 1 Joined: 24 Apr 2008 | I am disappointed with your review of my favourite game. You should give it a higher score because I like it. Why are you so harsh to my favourite game. What is wrong with Nintendo? Why do you dislike the fact that they have been milking the same franchise for the past 10 years. I think you (Yahtzee), knew what you was getting yourself into when you made your review on Smash Bros Brawl... and for that, I love you. I think that every person who comes onto this forum to complain about your inabilities as a game critic really needs to reflect on their own lives a little and come to understand that a single man's opinions on a game are not that of a deity. If you disagree with what a person is saying, then you are usually better off not trying to sway that person's opinion, but instead accept that one person has an opposing view. I consider this a great first post on this forum. Hello Everyone. |

Otherwise we wouldn't be here headed for another 1000 post nightmare as all the fan boys come out AGAIN to tell us how anyone who doesn't enjoy the game is retarded. |

Well, you can unlock Brawl characters just playing multiplayer... |
Anonymous Source Posts: 1 Joined: 7 May 2008 | I don't normally post comments, but this episode rocked way too much. Someone needed to take the fan boys down a peg, and you handled it better than anyone else. First they criticize you for not being pissy enough in "Psychonauts," and then they criticize you for being too pissy in "Super Smash Bros Brawl." Just say whatever you want about anything - you do it better than everyone else anyway. |

If you like SSBB then play it. I play SSBB and i get his point. I don't like the story or the shit load of time it takes to get some of the better things. I also hate alot of other thing about the game, but by now u have moved on to your next hate mail and won't give it a second thought. You guys need to suck it up and grow some balls. Yahtzee thank you for not letting these bitches get the better of you. keep up the good work. |

I got that from your first post as well, just didn't feel like commenting on it, instead I pointed out the (in my opinion) preposterous one-liner. I get where you are coming from, and I'll be damned if I don't use a lot of time infront of my xbox playing Smackdown vs. Raw, Madden, Mass Effect, GTA IV - or whatever - and do so for hours. Like I played Diablo and Diablo 2 and Warcraft 2 and Starcraft on the computer. But people are entitled their own opinions, so screw what people think, instead you just play what you want to play, and they play what they want to play. I mean, I hate 'The Sims', but that has still become one of the most successfull games ever, it got a lot of 'chicks' to spend time on their computer, doing literally nothing besides created a family and a house, and when the game really 'started' they quit the game, and started over. How the hell is there any sense in that? It's complete and utter garbage, isn't it? Apparently not. People like games that you/me/your mate doesn't like, and in turn, you like games they don't. Fanboys are all twats. |

Oh, and this argument should have ended a week and a half ago. On the 1000+ post SSBB forum. Let's not repeat the same arguments over and over and over AND OVER AD NAUSEUM UNTIL I'M FORCED TO WRITE IN CAPITAL LTRS & UZ WEB SALNG, SOMTHING I GENERLY DONT DO! |

Heh, alright. I wouldn't say there are things I don't like, just some minor annoyances. The way certain cars handle is a big annoyance. I found this in every other GTA game also, you drive to a mission expecting one thing, then all of a sudden you're in a car chase and it's that moment you figure out that you should have gotten a car that handles better. Even that is fun because I can laugh at myself when that happens.
The point I made about not being able to play more than one or two hours at a time, I can't really explain. After completing a couple of missions and one or two side things like a date or billiards with Roman, I feel like I've played enough for that session. I'm not really bored or anything, it's more like I'm tired.
I know, that sounded confusing. I said I couldn't explain it.
