Okay, as someone who owns SSBB, I can tell you this: it's okay. It is not the best game ever, only Mario 64 and Okami get to hold that ranking in my opinion. And it is annoying to unlock the unlockables (took me roughly 2 weeks, and that's with help and an awesome cheat). I liked the single player until the stage before the final boss. That place tooks us DAYS to get through. But you know what? Snake's taunt is hiding in a box, and doing that right before I decimated a friend is just awesome. And do not call your friend a Nintendo Fan. I am a Nintendo Fan, I practically worship Miyamoto-sama. However, I also draw the line. Your friend is a Ninten-tard, basically if you have ever heard of a Naru-tard, he's like that, only with Nintendo. And all people like that, need to be smited.

FYI, fanboys don't wear the cat ears, they wear stupid shirts instead. *puts on Nintendo Fangirl red cat ears* I support Nintendo, but it is rather unoriginal, but hey, at least it's fun.

Okay, Yahtzee pissed me off with his Devil May Cry 4 review and all but completely lost my viewership with his Brawl review, then made me lose faith in the entire human race when he actually gave God of War a GOOD review when I was deeply hoping he'd rip it a new one, but after THIS he has proven once more worthy of my esteem. Not only was this review a real breath of fresh air, but the only phrase as funny as "farming under duress" that I've yet encountered is "you're projecting so hard you could point yourself at a wall and show off powerpoint presentations."

Well done, Yahtzee. You've succeeded in totally alienating me as a viewer and then doing a complete 180 and bringing me right back in.

Now if only you and I BOTH had that kind of luck with women.

Anyways, while I did enjoy SSBB, it is plainly obvious that Nintendo fans are by and large just kids or kids that never grew up. Not in the Toys R Us sense either. Everything about their precious little Wii has been hailed as Messiahs and touted as exemplifying the Wii as the system of choice. When one person of any credibility in the gaming world comes along and expresses dissatisfaction with SSMM and Nintendo as a whole they grab their torches and pitchforks and attack. Watching these posts and the sheer repetitiveness of their moronic arguments reminded me of any time the villagers attacked in Resident Evil 4. Tons of people, all absorbed by the same "cult" spouting mindless drivel in an effort to kill the people that will not conform.

Also, I'm sure that they weren't complaining when you gave pretty favorable reviews to Mario Galaxy, Zack & Wiki, and No More Heroes. Ignorant children.

Don't generalize, for I'm a nintendo fan and I HATE SSB (any of them).

I try to avoid these forums, because i hate the people that post. But really, you cant complain about Yahtzee being a cynical prick, if you are watching his reviews you generally know what to expect. Some people just cant appreciate how refreshing it is to see a review that isnt just cock sucking the developers and tells it how it really is.

Best Zero Punctuation yet. Yahtzee has outdone himself. I loved the excellent bashing of the Wii fanboys and the part about the troll. He should do this whenever a bunch of stupid asses plug his email full of hate mail.

Been a long time watcher, first time writer. A enjoyable video from start to finish, even though I find it silly that a critic had to argue his choice on why he has deemed SSBB not worth his time. He knew as well as most everyone that he was going to stir up the fan boys for even a unbiased and neutral opinion. I do admit, the only attacks I saw were towards the fan boys themselves, not the game. I found the SSBB hype irritating, mostly because of how people complained about release dates. Everything else I am unbiased to; I did Played the first two and they kept my attention for a hour or so. I am not going to play the third, mostly because I find the Wii-mote such a useless gimmick. I have grown up with PC and Console controllers, and I found Nintendo's controls go more and more impractical after the SNES. There is my TLDR rant for you all, Will be awaiting the next ZP. Lets hope that the SSBB flame war has cooled down enough so we can move on with our lives.

Also if you bothered reading a few of the comments above you'll find one of the friends of one of the people who mailed Yahtzee posting the original letters. It appears Yahtzee did modify the letters, probably only posting snippets that stood out to him.

Yes, I do. See, there's this amazing thing called the internet, it lets you find out a lot of stuff, even information on games that you haven't played! Amazing, huh? Here are a list of the "faults" Yahtzee found in Brawl:

1) The camera zooms out too far.
2) The characters are obscured by effects.

4) You have to unlock stuff in single player.
5) The Subspace Emissary is too long.
6) SSBB is a button masher.
7) Subspace Emissary cutscenes are like Nintendo fanfics.
8) Characters don't deserve to be in the game just because he doesn't know them.

How many of those are complete and utter bullshit? 8 of them. Oh wait, that's ALL of them.

1) The camera is fine, it doesn't zoom too far out at any time, so Yahtzee must have been playing this on a pathetically tiny television in order for this "fault" to have any validity.
2) This is just bullshit. The only times in the entire game where the characters are obscured by effects is when the Smoke Ball has been used (an item DESIGNED to obscure the characters).
3) OMIGOD! YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK STUFFZ? ZOMG THIS GAME SUCKZ!
4) Funny how nearly all of the single player modes can be played in co-op WITH SOMEONE ELSE. There goes that "fault".
5) Usually people complain when a game is too short. The Subspace Emissary's length is fine.
6) If Yahtzee honestly thinks SSBB is a button masher then he should just quit gaming right now.
7) I've never heard of a Nintendo fanfic that remotely resembles the Subspace Emissary. Yet another "fault" Yahtzee made up in a failed attempt at complaining about SSBB.
8) Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawww! He should go to Google and get over his ignorance.

Those were Yahtzee's 8 main "faults" he claimed SSBB had, and I just proved what utter bullshit they all are. I could easily make a list of faults SSBB has, and all of the points I'd raise would be valid and not imaginary. In fact, here's a list of the faults SSBB has:

1) Tripping. A pointless addition that only hinders the gameplay.
2) Clones. They're still here, even after we were promised they'd be gone.
3) Release date. It's taken too long to be released in Europe.
4) Some series are horribly over-represented, whilst others are under-represented.
5) Very similar to Melee.

There you go, five faults about SSBB, and what do you know? All of them are true! That wasn't hard to do, so what's Yahtzee's excuse?

Yahtzee highlights what is essentially a massive FUCK YOU from brawl which is PLAY AS SONIC (after countless fucking HOURS playing, FFS I finished GTA4 before my friend unlocked brawl fully. Nice assumption about me, shame it isn't true. I never begged him to review it. Ever. Yes, I was looking forward to him reviewing it, but that's because I thought he'd be clever enough to rip the game about it's actual faults like the fact you can randomly trip over. Probably my favorite of your work. Up to this point it was the Turok review, tied with the Peggle review. What I liked most about it was the fact that Yahtzee stood up for himself. I found that very respectable.

Let me just state I am not a "Fanboy" ok so that's cleared up let me say this

If you don't like someone's views on something like religion, sports, weather ect don't attack him for expressing himself. All peoples opinions are or should be valued even if its something you don't like or upsets you. You can choose to accept, disagree ect, then that is your opinion which you are offering and no one should attack or hate you for it. Seriously people this is how wars start.
