I will never come here again, because it might require me to think. I don't care so much about this "review," I made an account just to show you all how much I don't care. Where is my trusted game site that gives some number, so I don't have to read about any of the flaws and can pretend they don't exist?

well he did say that he was gonna play it when he finished it. so this justifies that it has some playability to say the least. stuff like the witcher and assasins creed probably sit in their cases gathering dust or something, or something like SSBB which has probably been sent to the other side of the moon on some sort of space adventure thing.
so.... whats next?

It's not that, it's just that GTA4 is one of the better games he reviewed and I agree completly with the flaws he pointed out, but when all he points out are the flaws he's review is as useless as those reviews that gave it 10/10

It didn't bother me untill now, but this time, it just feels too arbitrary.

It was actually a tyrannosaur. Raptors had flatter heads, less of an upper jaw and feathers. :) Plus their had forearms that could actually do things other than hang there.

Aha, yet another hilariously sarcastic review. Just curious though: Might Yahtzee be reviewing Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion!? I could definitely see it being entertaining and give various good points.

my girlfriend has a mate thats a Game Reviewer and he puts it literal, THE GAMES TOO DAMN SHORT! Game Mag's say the game has about 40 - 50 hours worth of play in it... assuming this is all mission based play, but after he did all the normal, go around killing people with everything possible then doing the missions he said he finished GTA4 oops or should i say GTAIV in around 30 hours. 30 HOURS!!!!.... even i expected a game were it take s 2 mins to break into a car, think about what your going to use to kill your mission objective, do mindless things like tear anarchy through the city with the army after you, it would have more game play time.

Love the fast paced style and the wry humour that is likely to oneday give me a brain aneurism.

This game is overrated, repetitive and boring. IGN gave it a 10!? What a joke. The story is meh. All the best missions are stolen from movies (heat, goodfellas.etc). As good as San Andreas, shouldn't be considered a great game. Sorry stopped at 36%.

i have had the privilege of not having played the previous gtas before this one, this is my first gta and i have to say its easily(for me)the best thing since sliced(possibly even toasted)bread.
i think the gameplay, sounds, everything is spot on, tbh i would even go as far to say that the euphoria graphics engine alone makes the game, running over peds never gets old:)
i think its a great game, still havent completed it yet, and i got it on launch day, luckily i havent had anything spoiled either, win win.

My main observation is that he actually seems to miss the biggest, crippling flaws in most games, tending to focus more on minor issues which wouldn't bother most people.

No major game gets less than a 7/10 these days, so I equate a 7 to shit, an 8 to mediocre, a 9 to decent, and a 10 to good.

GTA IV is lacking major content that San Andreas had. I find it boring at the end because there's not much to do except online play and mostly everyone on it is a big jerk, or i've just been unlucky >.<. Yet I did like the taxi cab hail feature couldn't be assed to drive all the way across town. Rag doll features are also great.

aagghh!! i must be the only person in the world who thinks this game is over-rated. one of the the keys here being the point which yahtzee mentions - realism. i'm playing a computer game so i want it to be fun. if i wanted to experience how difficult it is to drive a frikkin car at speed around populous streets then i'd do it in my own car in real life. also at what point did rockstar completely lose their imagination for mission design? - first mission: kill this bad guy coz he's bad, next mission kill this guy coz he's bad, repeat ad bloody nauseum. this probably happened about the same time they also forgot that as a company take2 is run by retards who love hemorrhaging money, insider trading and beating one out over how clever they are for inventing and in-game internet and tv stations. oh take2 you're so ingenious you truly have taken sandbox to the next level... ungh i've just cum.
overall this installment is a distant fourth behind gta3, vice city and san andreas - all of which were more fun to play, featured longer storylines, better graphics and incorporated a variety of mission types above and beyond car racing and killing people!!
please someone tell me they also are disappointed with having waited so long for this inferior addition so that i don't think i'm just getting bitter and twisted in my old age.

I couldn't get into San Andreas too much because of all the CJ YOUS A BUSTAH stuff in it. This however has something i find intensely pleasing, and that is bad ass slavik people doing bad ass stuff. I love the game. However, that hasn't stopped me from getting so sick of it i haven't touched it in like a week, or played it for more than 30 minutes in about two of them, because there is only so much dicking around i can do before i can't touch something anymore.

I don't know how the hell he managed to get all the way to the end, he must have some kind of master willpower to avoid the urge to dick around in the cars for hours on end.

It's good to see someone pointing out some of the more frustrating/annoying parts of this great game. Everyone else is hyping it like it's the second coming.

Good stuff

For a long while I wasn't sure if I wanted gta4, then after seeing yahtzees review I just had to get it. Boy am I glad I did. I find it odd that some of the best parts of the game he hasn't mentioned at all. Like the high quality voice acting, the characters for the most part being very likable and the fact the game is god damn hilarious, much more so than any previous gta.
Every day I play I discover something new and funny either on the radio or during some random exploring/skrewing around. The game is just a massive pile of entertainment wrapped up nice and neat. No wonder its made 2 world records already.
I cant really think of anything I don't like about the game, though like yahztee I'm glad they have auto aim because you really can't see enemies most of the time.

Damn. I was really hoping you wouldn't mention the rubbish PS3 controls because they are incredibly stupid. Why did they even go for a Sixaxis when the only game it really works on is Warhawk?

Nothing wrong with PS3, or handbrake turns ! they are hard to begin with, but after a while no problem ! can lose cops after slaughtering about 50 then running !

Yeah, GTA VI was a bit obnoxious with the realistic driving and the saplings of invulnerability, but the wierdest part for me was, on the first date mission, I ran over about 3 people, destroyed the chicks front bumper, and lost her car's hood, and she didn't give a damn!
