Wow trying to identify with the fan base with the begining huh. I admit I hate everyone too. I think that this episode was the best so far. I like the whole fighting with your inner demons and having your inner demons fighting your inner demons seems really cool.(If that is what is going on.)The whole hugging the guy at the bench thing was kind of akward and looked really forced but I think if he was a vampire it would have worked better. Emily has chucks that's awsome. I think I might know the blond from some where.

Better and better! The monologue in the begening was great, Marissa really excels at portraying anger and bitterness. But the scene when the guys stand around (before they start harrasing the girl) was way to long, making it 20-30 second long would have held my interest better.

Her outfit seemed diffirent this time, is it the "vigilanty crime fighter" outfit? The mace animations weren't as cool as the sword ones, they might be harder to make I would assume.

The scene in the end was really nice, especially just seing the desperation in her face.

Good episode.

This episode felt kind of like filler...

However, maybe its importance will be shown in later episodes.\

But I look forward to Emily meeting others of her kind, and where that leads her.

Your Story has some well done video work and interesting dialogue yet I have trouble, especially with this one, having the patience to sit through the whole thing without fast forwarding. It just doesn't move fast enough for my over-conditioned brain that needs instant entertainment. Personally, I like to laugh more than think.

Thanks dood! One of the characters returns later in the series so it was needed to set him up properly IMO. Also - I wanted to give the audience a break from Emily for a little bit as they have been with her since moment one in the film. Hope it works for the whole!

*SPOLIER* sigh I wish I could comment - but it is not filler at all over the long haul of the series. Just hard to *SPOILER* DAMMIT!

Thx for taking a look :)

Totally understood that this may feel like filler. The risk we took in releasing the series episodically is that the viewer is removed from a sense of overall arc. Of course, the hope is that folks will watch...and watch...and watch...and who knows if it would work out better if we had it all together as the feature it is from the get go...

Some would (and have) said yes, some would (and have) said no, but I think if you keep with the spirit of the film, you'll see that there's somewhere yet to go. And it can seem abrupt when the whole thing is not in front of you.

This is a long-ass way of saying stick with it, and saying thanks for taking the time to think and post about it. Always appreciated.

I wish I could be a vampire from the beginning. Sort of a "screw you bitch, I got BETTER powers" supernatural vs. supernatural movie. But alas, alack, this isn't (hopefully) a typical 'superhero' flick and we hope to provide more twists and turns to create a great story vs. just creating an unstoppable, unflappable "hero" who you don't care about apart from her powers. We obviously want the "oh shit that's cool" vote but we also want to make a film that brings you past the novelty of a typical supernatural/superpower flick.

Agreed the scene on the bench can seem awkward, but that's also part of a more raw real life interlude...we all have moments of weakness and can choose wisely or poorly at those moments. Regardless, they often aren't seamless, but result in choices that lie in our emotions rather than what is appropriate decorum at the time.

I'm afraid of coming off sounding like a douchebag, so I'll just say thanks for the feedback and interest and hopefully I haven't diminished any of that!

Cheers,
~Guy

I'm really enjoying this series. The video and art is high quality, and I like the writing and characters. It hangs at a few places, I'll admit. I think it would be good to have an editor go over it with a fine toothed comb, but that's really only a minor gripe.

I'm looking forward to seeing the series play out. Thanks for posting this!

ok I think everyone wishes to be a vampire, but there other kinds of Vampires. Maybe she gave little bit of her soul (Mind whatever the case) to get these power but to continue it she has to kind of "feed" off other peoples life force or Mental Capacity(Psy vampires-I know it sounds stupid but there are those kinds) and when the powers gets under "fed" the powers attacks her for the energy needed. I'm kind of into vampires a little sorry if this doesn't make any sense. Also some don't know but flip my second name around kind of cool.ALUCARD
