No, I hope does direct and write the Pac-Man movie. Then we can kill him legally after the law is passed. |

Perhaps if he's forced to work with a source material such as Pac-Man, which would never be suitable in any way to be turned into a movie, when he churns out yet another mediocre film it'll seem like he did a great job. Kinda like trying to build a house out of shit. It's not a good idea, but at least you can respect the difficulty. |

Make it the sort of self-consciously stupid movie that dispenses with any pretense toward realism, gravity, or continuity, and just focus on visually impressive scenarios and elaborate, unpredictable, tongue-in-cheek gags. It's hard to make a movie good where anything can happen and it doesn't have to make sense, but it's got to be easier than a by-the-books Hollywood take on Pac-Man. |

They better cast Samuel L. Jackson as the red block. |

Only if they cast Lara Croft as the yellow block. And The Rock as the blue one. |

We need some big fat yellow guy who constantly eats pills, has issues with his own ghosts, and can't think laterally. That was a nice joke but please. Or there's a game called PAC-MAN which no one has heard about and is all related to social drama settled in Bombay. |

OK, the Mario movie had terrible acting, but if you like games, you'll like this movie. It's great in that old-timey way. But as for the Pac-Man movie...WHAT THE FUDGE? Is this a joke? What could they be spending the money on? I'm assuming it's animated, I mean, you only need to pay for the production team and some equipment, it said $200 million! What could they burn that on. I mean really: "Boss, this $20 million home was a necessary business expense. I needed a create environment so I could work. And a Lamborghini. And a jet plane. And the country of Russia." Honestly, if they make it in real-time I will literally jump in a pool of liter fluid, light myself on fire and invite my friends to rost marshmallows over me. A Tekken movie might not be such a horrible idea, but they've already done it with other fighting games (and in most instances, failed). But Castlevania might not be a horrible idea, I mean, at least there's a good premise. |

Paperboy Posts: 17 Joined: 13 May 2008 | I'm not sure how I feel about this. I have to think back to april 1st this year and to the fake Legend of Zelda trailer that pissed me right the fuck off. I was all excited to see a live action Zelda movie cuz I loves Zelda and then I find out that its an elaborate april fools joke. WTF?! but I guess a Pac-Man movie doesn't have the possibilities a Zelda movie does. its just kinda shit-tastic from the start. |

Pac Man Film Part of $200M Deal
The movie studio behind the upcoming Tekken film has signed a $200 million movie financing deal that includes adaptations of Castlevania and Pac-Man.
Crystal Sky Pictures and financial specialist Grosvenor Park inked a five-feature deal that also includes an adaptation Richard Branson's "Losing My Virginity" memoir and a sequel to John Woo's Hard Boiled.
No other details about how the Pac-Man movie will be realized were provided.
"This financing is helping us in our expansion plans to greenlight films more quickly," Crystal Sky Picture's Steven Paul said. "We're now one of the few companies to have a big budget with which to develop our slate."
Both companies have extensive previous experience producing films with companies like Paramount Vantage and DreamWorks.
