I don't make like the hunchback of Notre Dame anymore when I'm gaming. Having a good chair helps too. Something you can lean back into, and still reach your keyboard is much better than something that forces you to lean forward although ideally you should be sitting up straight. |

Also, I don't tend to play games that encourage leaning towards the screen, in my experience, that's faster paced more control intensive games where seeing details matters. |

i got an easier and cheaper solution... i know how to sit on a chair :\ but yea i can imagine that many people have problems with this, just try sitting correctly on a chair i guess (or get glasses if you need to put your face against the screen to see stuff, i did :P ) |

i know....most games i play dont, but theres verys usfull programs like xpadder... thats make your controller essentially a mouse and you can set buttons on it to keyboard buttons... i play all my games from ut3 cs source to world in conflict and crysis with it, mostly because i get back ache to easily..and well my new place is a very small area of space with literally no room for even a chair lol |

Your chair should be small enough that you can sit in it with you back resting, and your feet flat on the floor. Big chairs look good, but a smaller one that fits you is better for you. Make sure your keyboard if flat on the desk, put the little feet in the back of it down. Your arms should be roughly parallel to the ground. Wrist supports for both the keyboard and mouse help. I prefer a mouse rest that is not hooked to the pad so it can slide with me as I move the mouse. Damn.. I guess I did learn something from that stupid class my work made me go to. |

if your a pc gamer like myself, you may have noticed all that hunching over the keyboard and mouse usually results in back and neck aches, just thought id suggest somthing thats stopped all that for me and probably alot of others on this forum (maybe not)
a controller! at first i got it just for old emulated n64 games...but then i discovered xpadder (theres probably alot of programs like it) which configers your controler to a mouse and keyboard. ive not touched my mouse for months now and all back and neck ache is gone, i am saddened by the resulting lack of speed and accuracy from trading away my mouse but in my opinion its worth it to stop those pains...or maybe i just game a bit too much lol. anyway just thought i would mention this to see if anyone else has done the same thing or found other ways to cure this issue i know many pc gamers get... id be very happy if there was a solution out there that didnt sacrifice my mouse, there probably isnt buttheres always the chance someone on here knows....
