I'm in a Hawk assault frigate, buddy of mine is in a thorax cruiser. After roughly 5 minutes of combat the cruiser pilot warped out because he was getting hammered by the battleship. So there's me, in my lowly frigate, chewing down the last bit of the battleship's hull. With rockets. Oh such a nice kill when you pop something 30x your size. |
Paperboy Posts: 17 Joined: 8 Jan 2008 | in MW4, I hit an enemy in the cockpit from beyond the effective range of the weapon [double gauss rifles from around 1200m] Also, one time in CS I was able to headshot the entire opposing force with the Steyr Scout, one after another as fast as I could pull the trigger. I think there were about six of them. Apart from those, I like getting two kills with one shot is always extremely satisfying. Especially with a pistol. |

Interstate '76 was plagued by hackers, who could use hex editors to unlock unkillable vehicles w/ unlimited ammo. There was one catch, though: the game's flamethrower weapons could frag anyone - hackers included. One time I came upon a free-for-all arena being terrorized by a large black tank named "Adolf Hitler" who was spewing lots of white supremacist garbage as he blew up the other players at will. So I logged out and switched to my "hacker-killer" car - a heavy armored sedan equipped with nothing but flamethrowers. With a little bit of fancy wheel-work, I killed Adolf Hitler and restored peace to the desert. Now that's what I call a memorable kill. |

reminds me of my best kill which is some what the same. Halo 2 same map as in the link(coagulation) i saw 2 enemies in a guass warthog go into the rocks(probable so the gunner could get the overshield). me being really good a suicide I decide to go in. before making contact i fling a frag grenade over the top of the rocks to confuse the two guys letting me come around the corner and stick the warthog. but before i come round i get the "you splattered [insert name]" and a medal, needless to say i was like "wtf? im not in a vehicle" when i come round the corner the warthogs flipped and i see only one guy who i proceed to kill. after the match i find that the gunner got out to get the power up only to find the overshield respawn time hadn't gone through its complete cycle so he was moving back to the warthog when my grenade exploded flipping the warthog and killing him. I killed a guy with a vehicle without actually being in it :D |

I was retardedly good at CS until Source came out and I lost interest due to my real life getting busier. Anyway this glorious moment was in de_aztec. I was AFK for a couple minutes getting a drink, and came back to find a new round had started. 40 seconds gone, and all 9 of my teammates dead. All 10 of the CTs still alive. With an awp and a deagle, I came back from AFK and killed all 10 CTs, four of the kills deagle vs an m4 or aug. I absolutely humiliated them, effortlessly putting them down one after one. I've had countless amazing rounds and matches, but nothing that so fully embarassed the other team. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 3 Joined: 3 Oct 2007 | Also a Rogue Spear story - it was one of the earliest games to feature wound modeling. Whenever a bullet hit an opponent, a small maroon blotch would appear where the bullet struck. Not much blood, no exit wounds or removeable limbs, but it was fun knowing know exactly where bullets hit. So I'm playing the transport ship level - the idea was to sneak through a boat killing terrorists without alerting them. If they were alerted one of the terrorists would rush to the bridge and detonate some explosives. So I left a sniper on the bow of the boat, just in case. Naturally everything goes wrong and the terrorist goes running for the detonator. I switch back to the sniper, zero in on the bridge, and fire off a shot just as the terrorist turns towards the console. There's a hole in the window and the guy goes down. Pretty satisfying. Then the rest of my troops shoot their way through the ship and clamber up to the top. I go to clear the bridge, and find the terrorist I sniped, lying on the ground with a maroon splotch where his left eye used to be. Just perfect. |

So i shoot the medic in the back of his head doublejump. Shoot the Heavy at the same place. Landing on his corpse. Jumping over the friendly pyro and emptying the last round of buckshot in a Spy's face and then picking of a Soldier with the Handgun from a diostance. God that wsas a good run. |

EVAR is not irony, it's not subtle and it's not a part of the English language. It's blatant and unnecessary misspelling in a desperate attempt of looking "cool" or getting attention.

Ummm, anything can be irony in the hands of the user. Why don't you just say that a car can't be caught on camera while you're at it? As for subtle, yes, you're right, but that was me being pissy at grammar nazis who miss the point (ie, irony, or at least silliness and an understanding that the thread post was frivolous and so could use a frivolous name). Re: the English langauge. The English langauge is what it is today because silly buggers creating and using new and- at the time- ridiculous words. I'm not going to claim EVAR is something I want in this language but the point remain. And as for the forum rules, fair enough. Report the thread if you like. Personally, my best kill/s happened in a Halo 3 match with the speed setting set highest and gravity set lowest. With everyone zipping along at just faster than the speed of mongeese and capable of moon walking a friend dared anyone who could to manage a spartan laser or sniper kill. I showed them. Several times. With no-scopes. Hell, my "Tool of Destruction" was the sniper rifle. |

Muckraker Posts: 275 Joined: 13 Feb 2008 | Although I know it's rather stupid to post two different moments as my best kills ever, I just had a CS flashback, and was compelled. I was attending an all-night LAN Cafe night, with various stuff going on, but the main draw of the night was the 'Take On The Team' tournament, as the staff of the cafe were all badass CS players to a man, and had an open competition, for any team, of any players, to take them on in a best of three match on a map of our own choosing. Anyway, I, my bro and a few conscripts at the cafe decided to bring the pain, not realising just how good these guys were. Picking DE: Dust, Terrorists, we proceeded to get our asses handed to us in no uncertain terms in the first round, and just managed to fluke a win in the second round when the CTs couldn't find the bomb in time. So, the third round, we kick off. Two go down in a matter of seconds as they round a corner right into a riot shield/automatic shotgun tag team. My brother takes out the riot shied user before he gets nailed too, so it's just me and one total stanger against the remaining four CTs. We gun it to the open bomb point, narrowly avoiding getting our asses shot off, and plant the bomb, then set up to defend. My comrade gets an AWP to the face, and that leaves me, half a mag in my AK-47, wetting my pants in sheer terror of the impending arserape, when I hear the home team chanting: 'Daah-duh...daah-duh...dah-duh-dah-duh-da...' That's right, the bastards were chanting the Jaws theme tune as they crept up on me. This didn't have the desired effect however, determined I wasn't going to go quietly, I dodged round the corner and deployed my remaning flashbang. Everything went white. Everyone started shooting. There were screams, swearing, frantic hammerings of 'r' to reload. When the dust settled, three of the CTs were dead, one was left, and in the process of reloading their rifle. I was near dead as it was, it was a miracle I hadn't been obliterated, and I wasn't going down yet. I snapped to my pistol and dumped about 12 rounds of rapid-fire Glock into his chest. Now, I and me mates have 48 hours free play time apiece. Pure bloody luck. |
Paperboy Posts: 31 Joined: 21 Feb 2008 | I was in an intense game of call of duty, 3rd in the leader board. I needed 2 kills to get 1st place and there were only 2 kills needed for the game to end. I stood on top of a high building, crouched down and drew for my sniper gun. The atmosphere was quiet and opposing gamers where nowhere to be seen. A light drop of sweat fell down my smooth forehead. There!! two enemies standing still one in front of the other. Eqiuped with double tap and deep impact i steadied my aim. 1 down.. I ducked down to reload my gun and peeped through a narrow gap in the wall. 200 or so meters was the other target half hidden away in the building. I zoomed in towards his face. Bang.. the game was over and i was 1st place. |

I was playing chrome hounds this time. I kitted myself out with an arsenal of snipers and paint scratchers(gattling rifle). My squad, consisting of me and one other, had to destroy two other hounds in the neroimus war. my teamate died, coz he cant use heavey gunner types which meant i had to eliminate a heavey gunner and a scout. the heavey gunner took some work but wasnt very impressive. the scout had ran off into the far reaches of the desert. with my arsenal of snipers I elimnated it with one clean shot though the cockpit with a very fullfilling explosion my squad needs more members. we are the luna divines and my GT is Number Seventy |
Anonymous Source Posts: 7 Joined: 23 Feb 2008 | The best ever was while I was brain dead enough to be sort of addicted to CS. I was running down De_Dust2 and had a sniper. I had 3 HP left and i accedently fired it off noscope. I got a headshot on a guy standing in the hole sniping towards the B bombplanting location. Of course I got raped after that by a shotgun idiot who apperently missjudged me as a enemy in disguise (Something like that). |
Anonymous Source Posts: 9 Joined: 7 Feb 2008 | Not mine, but there's a video for one of the halo games where the player got nailed in the head with a piece of a gas can he blew up. Easily one of the best kills ever... Probably MY best kill ever was in Warhawk, though... I was sniping people from a hill overlooking the Red Base in Eucadia, and my friend decides to switch teams on me. He loads up a Nemesis with 4 mines, then tries to crash it into me. Somehow, I managed to jump onto the wing and off before I really got caught. Jumped off again, and he crashed into the big water tower thing, then turned around and tried to crash into me again. With a sniper in my hands and no time to switch, I took a single shot at him with the sniper rifle, not expecting to hit anything, and I nailed one of the mines and took him and the other guy in his plane down. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 118 Joined: 23 Jan 2008 | The best kill for me was in Crysis, where I shot down a tree that fell on a Korean. To make things even better, aforementioned tree rolled down a hill and killed another Korean and on a truck passing below. I then proceeded to shoot the fuel tank of said truck, killing about 5 other soldiers around it. |

CoD: UO: Running over my team in a jeep with another guy, a witness, at the turret. Not all are legal! CoD4: You know that single player map where you save Nikolai? well, at that point where you plant a claymore in front of the door, saying, "Why do I have C4?", chucking it into the window of that shack, then detonating it for the hell of it. BOOM. They smelled like hot dogs. Halo 3: Chasing a grunt in a ghost in single player. Watching him crash into a tree and plummeting down a cliff. |

You people read too far into a single word. I wasn't trying to be Ironic and the spelling was intentional. I use "EVAR" to tag my threads because I think it helps people who like them find them easier. Also I just like putting "EVAR" into my posts and threads......EVAR! |

On the brigde there is around 40-50 german soldiers, if you have played BF you know how they scream. |

Infamous Scribbler Posts: 532 Joined: 20 Sep 2007 | On a LAN once a long time ago we were playing Jedi Knight: Outcast MP, and I was the first to figure out how to do special moves, like the forward-jump with strong style that can't be blocked. Anyways, I was doing rather well, being only 4 frags from winning the match, but so was a friend of mine whom was far better at shooters in general (he could almost play alone against the rest of us in Q3 :) ), but because I had figured out the tricks he shouted out that everyone should get me because I was so close to winning (my picture was on the leader spot) so everyone went for me with lightsabers, coming from all directions... ...and so I do the medium-style jump-cut, killing all of them in a single attack: bssssaaaaoowwww... 6 kills, one attack! ;) |
Paperboy Posts: 17 Joined: 24 Feb 2008 | Single Player: Once, while playing in chopper-vigilante mode in Vice City, I was chasing a single car down the street when it suddenly drove up behind one of those car-carrying trucks encountered down by the dock area and ramped off of it into mid-air. Thinking fast, I fired a rocket and blew it out of the air before it hit the ground. Gaming frisson like that only comes once every couple of years for me. Multi-player: My only notable kill in multiplayer (which I generally have very little to do with) occured on the bridge map of America's Army. I had just poked my head up over over a ledge at the area near the center of the bridge when the opposing team's sniper fired at me and missed. I one-timed a shot at him, sans iron sights, with my M16 and killed him with a single hit. He was at the other side of the map and his head was like...a pixel's width. Satisfying. |

Because you said no to Halo, I of course have 2 for it. Once, I snuck up on the enemy team (they were camping on Sandtrap, all in a nice little line) while invisible. I picked up one of the sniper rifles that littered the floor around them, but my camo picked that moment to start to fade out. One of them noticed me so I blind fired. Got all 5 of them in one shot.
My other Halo one was during Halo 2, when the first Hunters appear. I had the sniper rifle and was waiting for them to come out. They broke the doors down, and I took aim and, just to see what would happen, I shot the first one through the little slit in it's helmet. It died. Same with the other one. I was stunned, I didn't really believe you could do that.
On CoD 4 (I can't remember the map name) I was playing against an entire team with UAV Jammer (I think they were a clan, but I don't really remember). I thought I saw someone in one of the buildings, so I shot a rocket at it. I killed their entire team on accident.
On 2Fort in TF2, I tried that Scout trick where you jump on a Heavy's head and beat him to death with the bat and I succeeded.
I just realized that most of my kickass moments were complete accidents.
