Whenever I go around corners in my house at night, I always hold out my hands in the shape of a gun and crouch to get the best aim at the zombies. And I can't walk up stairs without checking to see if someone is trailing me. I once dreamt something like I was watching warcraft 3, and all these drawfs glowing different colors like heros were running around and bashing eachother's faces in. It was weird.

Mine are comparatively sane, as they're things that I briefly thought about, as opposed to actually doing anything.

Once in a kickboxing class I took, we repeatedly followed a pattern of "punch, punch, kick". I briefly entertained the thought of "A, A, B."

Sometimes whenever I helped out another person or otherwise did something good, I would be reminded of the message from KoTOR "Light Side Points Gained."

I sometimes adopt the walking style of the protagonist or my favorite character from a game I've recently played (It's wierd finding yourself power hobbling like Frank West or plodding with massive Big Daddy steps)

After playing a ton of Battlefield 1942, I was driving home and I cringed when a jeep drove by thinking it was going to blow me up.

Whenever I play a lot of GTA, then drive I find myself driving a lot faster and more reckless than normal.

I have noticed I look up more often than I used to, always thinking to myself the best route of escape in case snipers start shooting at me.

Also I formulate a Zombie Apocalypse contingency plan for everywhere I live.

I had a dream as a kid that was half Link's Awakening, half Brian Jacques, and half that identity theft movie with Sandra Bullock except she was Marin. Yes, I know that was three halves, it was that surreal.

I've probably had this thing happen to me a lot over the course of my life, but I can only remember one at the moment.
I was on a plane, and there was a lot of fog in the distance. I started thinking for a sec, "dang that viewdistance isn't that great"

BioWare's been responsible for most of the videogame madness I've suffered. Daydreaming that I was in KotOR (Dantooine, hearing the theme for it in a field of grass), copying the post-battle stretches from Jade Empire in real life, after repeatedly failing a fight in Mass Effect thinking I can reload from a save for something in real life, thinking about people I'm with as party members, trying to access my inventory...

Forza 2 isn't the best positive reenforcement for driving, but Burnout Revenge is far more enabling of bad driving. "Oooh, traffic check... *CRUNCH*"

That's just smart thinking. I mean, earthquake, fire, and flood plans are overrated. I remember a few years ago they had us make fire escape plans for our homes, and I instead made a Zombie Survival plan. (Seriously though, I can prevent a fire in my own home, but when the gates of hell decide to overflow, that's out of my control.)

I've never really had life altering things happen to me, which I guess makes me a pretty sane gamer, but I did learn how to become really stealth like after playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

I will admit, however, that I am addicted to Dead Rising right now. It does make me pretty weary of bees...

I never really had those game quirks in real life. Of course I have dreamed a few times about games, but I dream about all things I am involved in. Games just happens to be one of them. However, I have made a lot of D&D related jokes with some friends of mine about many topics, especially movies. When watching Troy, we constantly made jokes about failed saving throws and skillchecks.

I have been a bit addicted to games, but the signs for that was that I drew back from social life more, not going to movies anymore, but it never got really serious.

Whenever I pick up anything even remotely sword-sized/sword-shaped, I Z-target.

I also dream about games on rare occasion.

Whenever I walk past a window, I check opposing buildings for snipers.
I always have to check everywhere twice. (Maybe that's JUST the OCD but hey.)
And I always, ALWAYS ALWAYS. Continue to walk stealthily when noone can see me, or when I'm feeling perticularly paranoid.

I also create zombie apocalypse plans wherever I go.

Only a dream about Bioshock. I remember thinking that I couldn't take on a bigdaddy in case I died but I wanted the little girl. Other then that I remember running from splicers.

I played Serious Sam 2 for a week straight and when on a shooting spree. Good times.

If World of Warcraft is installed on your computer, then addiction is either invading your house or ramming the door.

But when I get out of bed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I DO check for Pyramid Head. So many creepy noises at night...

Something like "Achilles must have an amazing AC"? Or after Paris shoots him, "No fair! Called shot."

I often unconsciously hum the main Tetris tune when I'm trying to fit all the groceries in the bag. When walking the street I surreptitiously check reflections around me to see if I'm being followed, and I do this:

I also often wonder where the quick save button has gone.

Whenever I try to surprise a friend I always drop into a crouch run like in splinter cell. When I run I find myself imitating Altiar's movements.

I used to play a lot of Runescape. one day, I was walking home, and thinking to myself, "Why am I doing this? Why bother walking all the way? I could probably just do Home Teleport and..."

It's here that I stopped myself. That happened again another time.

Also, after talking about Bioshock, I accidentally reffered to my father as 'daddy', much to the entertainment of my peers.

I watched my neighbor fixing his lawnmower, frustrated he gave it a couple of whacks of his spanner, I just waited anxiously for it to upgrade to a better sentry gun!

Whenever I walk down the street and look at the walls of different buildings I look for cracks and other objects where Altair could climb or swing from.

After I played Dead Rising I started to see everything in my home as a potential weapon.

Sometimes, when sitting in the passenger seat of a car, I tend to have an imaginary controller in my hand, and pretend I'm driving the car in Forza 2.

I always think of Harvest Moon when cooking fish for some reason.

Oh, and I thought I knew Kung-Fu after playing 007: Everything or Nothing on the Gamecube.

but just the wendsday night i had a dream where i was a tauren realizing the vastness of the world for my tribe or something like that (see revolutionary girl utena movie for the basic of the idea of the dream, and yes its an amazing anime, and no don't watch it in front of your parents because its not hentai but it gets pretty damn close)

Anytime I hear a song I've played on RockBand or any GH, I can close my eyes and see the notes streaming down.

That has happened to me so many times. Songs that weren't from GH I still imagine how the notes would be. Than I realize I'm an idiot and need some serious help to get away from the game.

I think the amount of money I spend on my games are a big enough sign of addiction. Hell, I quit smoking to open up a little more cash flow for my gaming habit.

Whoot. Power to you, mate. Power to you. Quitting a damn hard habit to kick for gaming is... just... wow.

Anyhoo? Mine's when I suddenly start wondering how much experience I need until I can increase my stat points.

I don't know anything about game design, yet i often try to envision how certain rooms and places would look as shooter levels...or racetracks.

Also, certain everyday objects like pens and such makes me mentally design spaceships in that certain shape. But i think that is just a result of immaturity ^^.

I have to agree with several people here. I get the note vision when I listen to Guitar Hero songs and close my eyes. I also consider the potential defense capabilities of every building I ever go in should the zombie apocalypse start while I'm inside.

That happens to me on any song, whether it was on GH before or not.

I too keep a zombie apocalypse survival plan.

After playing Gears of War, I will occaisonally classify objects based on whether or not they would make good cover and plot a route to keep myself behind that cover. "I could hide behind that tree, flip out, roadie run to that cement pillar" etc.

Rainbow Six has totally corrupted me. I was sitting there thinking about R6V:2 when I started comming up with a breaching plan for the room. I could even imagine the Rainbow operators as they stormed the room taking out imaginary tangos. A freind asked what I was staring at and I of course lied my ass of. People already think I'm crazy enough.

After a brief spree of Carmageddon in my household we now refer to people and objects by their point value when driving. In the past I would argue with my mother about the point value of different people; she would claim an old lady has high point value because it's funnier and I would counter by claiming it's lower point value because she's too easy a target.

I remember having a fuse blow in our house a while back, as I heard the noise and all the lights went out I just hit the floor as fast as I could. no only did it hurt but I felt like a prick.

Another thing is from playing COD4, I am a lot more aware of my surroundings now. Or perhaps thats Ju Jitsu, who knows?
