Paperboy Posts: 44 Joined: 28 Jan 2008 | I got a huge load of old games when the library I did some IT work for a library. When they got rid of the game section I volunteerd to take the whole treasure trove home for 50 bucks. It was like finding a Dragon's Hoard. Including such gems as: And pieces of manure, such as: So my list of dreadfull games is quite long, some I even liked. |

Holy crap, someone quoted me! =D Sorry for posting again, but I have to answer this. Rayman's main body, as portrayed in the first game, is made of electoons ( I have no clue what those are, I was talking with a friend who likes Rayman and she said the word ). I think the electoons in his main body might attract the ones in his hands and feet and keep them from falling off ( if they have them, Ubisoft is pretty tight-lipped about that ). My friends won't stop asking this question, so I did some research and asked around. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 7 Joined: 13 Jul 2006 | As has already been noted, most of the 'dirty little secret's listed so far are pretty... well, non-dirty. If I was ashamed of enjoying games like Viva Pinata or The Longest Journey I would presumably be filled with self-loathing, as they're great games. Hell, me and two flatmates all had our own gardens in VP (though I ended up hating the game due to the incredible glitches that afflicted it), and I tried to get as many people as I could to play TLJ. The only game I can think of that I was ashamed of was Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, but I was always open about enjoying it (it's a compulsive game. Even when using both hands). That being said, I've had to stop myself buying the 360 sequel, on the basis of the many negative reviews of it. I fear that one day, however, I shall give in, and have a real reason to be ashamed. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 6109 Joined: 30 Jan 2008 | THUG 2. I don't get why I like it. I should hate it as passionately as I hate Guitar Hero 3 (with its slutty character designs, sleasy, cluttered and stupid level designs and poor songlist, containing maybe 10 good songs, including Before I Forget and Cult Of Personality) and its about as stupid as a game can get. |

Hey! What's wrong with Oregon Trail? I would barely refer to the game as "cute." |
Anonymous Source Posts: 2 Joined: 10 Feb 2008 | As for myself... I actually take a lot of crap for liking the No One Lives Forever games, though I talk about and defend them so it's hardly a secret. Actually, the only thing I've ever kept secret is my copy of Deus Ex: Invisible War. I hate the game but I don't want to just, you know, throw it away either. |

Paperboy Posts: 13 Joined: 20 Mar 2008 | Startopia When I was tired of crappy games I'd install Startopia again and play the sandbox mode until the whole station was full of crap; maybe I should step back one day and look deeper into their formula because it worked for me. Too bad it was a sleeper, I think everyone should try the game. I played alot of the Elder Scrolls games, Homeworld, Unreal Tournament, and Total Annihilation, but those are regarded as good games. I'd play Pokemon if an RPG came out on the Wii. |
Paperboy Posts: 17 Joined: 16 Mar 2008 | When I was young it was Harvest Moon for the SNES, kinda awkward playing it around someone and they go "So uh... You plant potatoes?" and then getting into it and talking about how you take care of livestock and get married and how all of that works... I always married the blacksmith chick. But now it's Sims 2, I was never ashamed of playing Harvest Moon but Sims 2 actually gives me a fine measure of shame right up you-know-where. |

Copy Clerk Posts: 106 Joined: 20 Mar 2008 | Hm... I'd say DnD. Not the console versions, the actual tabletop game. It's just so awesome! Oh, and Star Fox: Assault, which wouldn't be a bad thing until you consider the reason why I play it. *Hint: See my avvie.* |

I'm trying to drum up the resolve to spend the significant amount of money needed to buy Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2. Reason has prevailed for now, but how long can it last? I'm into The Sims and Harvest Moon (the girls' version, natch), but I have two X chromosomes so I feel slightly less shame than I might there. Similarly, the fact that I enjoyed the crap out of FFX-2 I blame on the fact that I would still volunteer to be a Sailor Scout if you asked me. Also about a year of my life, some distant bunch of years in the past, essentially WAS EverQuest. |
