Muckraker Posts: 237 Joined: 22 Jan 2008 | good lord, i want 50 cent to die a horrible slow death of a disease that robs him of the ability to speak among other things, in fact i wish what happened to terry shaivo on him. 50 cent goes to the middle east? wow... what a suckfest thats going to be. oh well, it'll make boatloads of cash and degrade gaming with it's presence but then again thats nothing new. but i will continue to wish death on this asshole and everyone he knows or anyone who actually works on this peice of shit gameing aborting. |

" And here they are saying they took it out of the hood, I thought all his music was about being an ignorant thug with pimp aspirations shooting people cause they bought the last carton of milk. How can I do this in the Middle East fighting terrorists? (And I know they don't say that they are terrorists but it is the only way they are gonna be able to have 50 shoot Middle Eastern people without causing an uproar.") "we're also giving the player a deeper gameplay experience." They then go on to say it will be like playing Gears of War. While playable and well engined I don't know if anything Gears of War can be classified as deep, especially since for some reason it is Llyod Banks doing the shooting as oppose to highly trained properly geared military personnel. "Aaron Blean: [laughs] Maybe as an easter egg or something! But as 50, you'll be chased or be chasing somebody at high speed, as well as with an AI or co-op guy manning a turret in the back of the Humvee, shooting at guys coming up from behind. So that's driving. But we also have flying in the game." Is this really worth mentioning anymore? There are 9 times out of 10 driving sequences in games these days. If nothing else the fact that they are excited about this and toting it as one of the new exciting parts should be a red flag to anyone. "The world's most unlikely sequel announced!" I would like to take a moment to slap IGN. Gee a popular rap star makes a game about shooting thugs in the hood and no matter how terrible it is it sells a storm. This is about as shocking as the idea that they made a Resident Evil 5, or Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Can we have the above phrase reserved for things like... |

That's the sound of every gamer simultaneously slamming their head on the keyboard as this topic was released, or maybe it's the despair of the man who shot Mr.Half dollar for not cracking off just a couple more rounds. I agree with Tanthalos's points completely, and perhaps it's shouldn't have been declared the 'world's most unlikely sequel' but rather 'world's most unwanted sequel'. If your a fan of yahtzee you may remember saying something about abandoning realism, which i agree with, but excuse me if I expect a certain amount of believability from a game, somehow 50 cent as a war hero is even more laughable then the fact that Kratos managed to beat the hordes of Ares armies by pressing 'X' at the right time. Quite frankly i'm not surprised, 50 pence has been going further down the popularity poll for a while now, which increases his chances of beening back on the street and having a long line of people waiting to test his boasts of 'bulletproof'. However, at the same time that makes me hate this game more, it's not a 'game' or some more of half-a-buck's franchising, but a publicity stunt. This is his way of standing in-front of the people of America and saluting the old stars and stripes, so expect alot of glorified American hero antics coming from this game. sorry i'm ranting.... |

Ever heard of the Altamont Speedway Concert? Anyway, this is stupid. A bunch of rappers killing "ultra-nationalists." Now, if only Ed Wood were alive, this would be his trademark game. |

Half-buck: Red! Here's what I think. I might buy it either to mod the characters into a Captain Price/Gaz combo that speak blackeneese, or to highlight 50 rupee's idiocy by having him fire at the ground while the Arabs kill him. |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 889 Joined: 10 Nov 2007 | Personally, I think the world, most especially the music world and hip hop industry in particular could be done a great service by sending 50 Cent to Iraq. On a one way ticket. |
Paperboy Posts: 14 Joined: 27 Mar 2008 | Anyone want to join me in putting more bullets into him, i know it's harsh but come on the last game he did was harsh enough for all of us to want to do mean and evil things to him with sharp metal objects. The only way this game is going to be good if we actually play as the arabs and hunt down 50 Cent in a manhunt fashion with paper bags and glass. |

We all know this game will fail horribly and hopefully whoever thought of the game loses his/her job. |

Haha, I first got wind of this from /v/. Needless to say, there was a massive shitstorm. |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 708 Joined: 26 Mar 2008 | So we have Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and now Fiddy Cent and the Diamond Encrusted Skull. One wears a Fedora and brandishes a bullwhip, the other a baseball cap and Glock 9mm. The developers are really taxing their collective brain devoid skulls for inspiration on this one. |
Anonymous Source Posts: 5 Joined: 26 Mar 2008 | I year ago, I expect I would have had much of the same opinions as expressed here. However over the last few months I've seen several 50 Cent interviews and I've been pleasantly surprised, in these interviews he has demonstrated that he is an astute entrepreneur who understand the monetary value of his image. It's easy to see rappers as having only a one track mind but if you take a closer look at some of the most famous and well established names in hip-hop, they have done very well from exploiting and capitalising on the media personas. Remember, publishers are in the business of making money, whatever sells, they will jump on it. |

See 50 Cent kill the Dirka-Dirkas!

But that's not all! 50 Cent Dirka-Dirka Edition is sure to have an epic plot!
"50 and G-Unit are putting on a sold-out performance somewhere in a fictional Middle Eastern setting. This is where the 'blood on the sand' comes in. They put on the performance; the people are pleased, but the concert promoter stiffs them and doesn't give 50 and G-Unit their payment. So, of course, 50 isn't going to leave until he gets paid, so he hassles the concert promoter, [saying] if he doesn't come up with the money now, there will be consequences. And instead, the promoter offers him a very valuable gift - something that's valuable to this particular country - a diamond encrusted skull."
