I got bored of it in just over a month. The average life expectancy in that game is literally 1 min. Die and spawn, die and spawn makes it really repetitive. Sure, in some parts where the battle is really heated up in BF2 you might die alot, but exactly, SOME parts, not all god damn parts. It's variety. The maps are pathetically small, you know this when you walk 10 meters from your spawn and you have to dodge grenades (if you could dodge them, but you can't since everyone cooks them so have no chance of throwing them back or anything).
Perks are ok but some perks are imbalanced, and some weapons are too. Sniping is useless in these miniature maps (or 90% of them). Camping is rampant since the maps are so small and linear. Especially in hardcore mode. Then one of the most dumbed down aspects of all: you appear on the minimap whenever you shoot. Yes, you could use silencer but since the iron sights are so bad you will get raped by everyone at range pretty easily. So you gota decide between being easy prey for people at "long" range or be swarmed by enemies that are within 50 meters whenever you fire a shot. I'm gona stop here cause I'm too lazy to go on.
All in all, if you like dying alot, killing alot, fast respawning and quick action in a small environment, you'll like CoD4. If you want an epic but more slow paced, tactical, strategical war experience with open environments, where no match is the same, you'll like BF2 more.
One more comment, I can't wait for Battlefield 3! |

Damnit, i just fed the troll. Sorry. |

And i do respect your opinion, Destes, but this "opinion" really should have been kept to yourself. Really, nobody would care. |

I think CoD4 and Battlefield 2 have entirely different playstyles. One is open ended, slower paced, and vehicles based, while CoD4 plays like a typical twitch shooter with all the action concentrated in a very small area. So it's a bit hard to compare one to the other. |
