Who's excited about this, the upcoming game of rock and roll action-adventure by Tim Schafer? Axes, "axes", blood and violence, hot rods pumping out fossil fuels willfully, headbangers, one bad ass Jack Black roadie, bosses voiced by big metal stars, Tim Schafer comedy, groupies, the list goes on.
To sum up, I'm going to badly paraphrase Tim Schafer: "You might hate Brutal Legend but only if you don't like metal and hot rods and blood and action and humour and fun."

That pretty much sums up everything right there. Unless the game gets absolutely atrocious reviews, were getting it. And even still if it does get horrific reviews.

That just made my 08 list. It may well replace Far Cry 2. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I thought it looked awesome. However the fact that Jack Black has ANYTHING to do with it taints it. That guy's carrer turned sellout after they lost their show onm HBO.
He's more of a novelty to say, "Hey, we got a celebrity", but really, he's nothing more than Britney Spears of Paris Hilton. Worst part is he seems to think he's some sort of rock legend. Should have stuck to acting in my opinion.

They also have members from Judas Priest on the cast! Not that i still like Heavy Metal, but Brütal Legend will be the very core of awesomeness.

Jack Black may be a bit of a sellout from time to time, but in a heavy metal themed Game, i cannot imagine a better lead voice.

Yes, i am too extremely excited about the game. Even when you ignore that it's being made by Tim Schaefer, it still has Hot Rods, a Metal Soundtrack and RONNIE JAMES DIO! \m/

My god.

This looks like it's basically Metalocalypse: The Game.

I can't wait to play it.

I can imagine four better off the top of my head:
Dave Mustaine
Ozzy if he did it drunk
Bruce Dickinson
The original singer from Anthrax

Who wants to bet somewhere they throw in a vague joke reference to Guitar Hero?

I'm just guessing here, but I'm fairly certain this is going to be an M game.

Good for you ThaBenMan. I only hope that Tim Schaeffer doesn't choose now to release his first bad game. That'd really mess up the post pre-order glow.

Sorry about that, I was being delusional. What did I just say?

*sticks fingers in ears* LALALALAAA, cant hear you!

Seriously though, I've always had a pretty good pre-release feel for games. I've never pre-ordered a game that I was disappointed in. So hopefully that will be the case here!

I was excited until I found out Jack Black was voicing the main character.

The reason why I play games over watching films at the cinemas is to avoid giving money to these overpaid actors.

As opposed to those overpaid publishers?

Does it have a release date yet?

But yeah, being a big Metalhead, I really hope it comes out soon. It looks amazing.

ok kids, this is how you make "win"

take one heavy metal universe designed by god himself Tim Sheiffer
add a voice cast of relatable metal personalities like Jack Black and Motherf**king Lemmy
shake well with a rediculous storyline about a "Metal Universe"
add RPG elements liberally
Bake for a few months

There you have Brutal Legend

Moment it is on the PC I'll get my first grey ha-.. I mean it will be awesome.

Now all I want is a psychedelic game featuring David Bowie and I can die a happy man.

I think this will be another awesome game by Tim Schafer (just as funny, innovative, and charming as Pychonauts was, but this time it will actually sell because it appeals to the larger numbers of retarded mongoloid gamers, like casual ones, because the'll think it'll be a game by Harmonix who made guatar hero, those stupid beer drinking asshats, only to find out that they wasted 60$ dollars American on a game they have no interest in, those fuckin teenage idiots. Bottom line: It will be awesome, but it may suffer from pychonauts sydrome, in which it does'nt sell.

I dunno, I think a whole bunch of metalheads are those types of gamers you're scorning. They'll buy it and love the references, the metal atmosphere, the music and the action.

Or, they may buy the game, find that there's more to gaming than Guitar Hero and discover Tim Schafer, the lucky devils. If only I could go back and play all the games for the first time again...

Despite owning an Xbox copy of Psychonauts for, oh, say 18 months now, I've still not played it. I guess I'm missing out somewhat. Despite that, I'm still so looking forward to Brutal Legend. It sounds and looks outstanding.

bosses voiced by big metal stars,

No, Metalocalypse has Big Metal stars. This has Rob Halford. One legend does not a lineup make. Unless they reveal Mustaine, Dickinson or Harris, it can't legitimately claim otherwise.

Edit: O.k., so it has Dio and Lemmy. I still want Mustaine, Dickkinson or Harris
